i actually bought bob a drink at commerce 2 weeks ago, i didnt actually pay because the flop came black, but i put him in the red/black on a freeroll for a cold Blue Moon.

I agree. That is the part of this hand that I am most displeased with.

77 is not a clear 3 bet in a fr game . Opponent dependent.

My Hold'em Manager database, which goes back about 9 months (and as it happens I was up $500,000 in the previous 4 months), shows that I played 249,771 hands on Pokerstars with a net loss of $14,181 and a winrate of -0.11BB/100. Not what I expect from myself to be sure, but in my defense I was actually down 1240 BBs at hand 97,000 and am now down "only" 280 BBs. And I'll spare you all the ridiculous details of just how bad I've run.

Despite this super-fun break-even stretch, "lifetime" I'm up a little under $2,000,000.

Oh, and I did finally just hear back from TableRatings. Their entire response was "Although we capture a vast majority of the hands on Poker Stars, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy as we do not capture every hand." hahahaha. What a joke.

If someone can tell me how to post HEM graphs I'll do that.
I don't know if you are awful or good, but if tableratings showed you as awful, what is your motivation for coorecting the data or the impression. Several spots in this thread you seem to be trying plead your case that you are not as bad as the ratings would infer. However, most players would be happy with fishy image. What gives???

Even against a big range like yours 77 has less than 45% equity.

You might want to add some color to your commentary.

In the original hand I like the CC given the field, and in the hypothetical big ranger's hand I'm assuming a super tight field so I don't necessarily see why an isolation with blind money + position would be bad for 45% equity.

I pretty much blow at hold'em these days compared to the good players here so maybe I'm being a ******. Please explain where I'm mistaken.

street cred yo

it matters

at least, it matters to me... duno about doughnutz

not as much as winning of course, but it still matters.

also, i think its dubious to assume a fishy image is beneficial to one's bottom line. imo, a winning image is better.

If you could guaruntee he was getting at least that and were certain the blinds were folding, it isn't that bad. But 77 is more of an iso- 3 bet vs a hijack open, not an early position open in full ring.

Re: doughnutz ?!

I don't see the benefits of tableratings putting you like crap:
-Good players are not afraid of going to your table and taking shots at you
-Ego
-Good players don't respect you
-Fishes don't look at tableratings so they are not going to look to play you
-You cannot brag in the forums

For myself, tableratings put me something like +7k over a large sample, and in reality i am something like +90k over that sample

I agree. It sure would suck if people didn't use your business because of an inaccurate website.

That said I'm not sure how much more damaging to his business TR could be than the things doughnutz himself has posted in this thread. He posted a graph showing that for a quarter million hands he has lost money, stated that he has not been playing well for nearly a year and conceded that maybe he does indeed suck and that only time will tell if he indeed does.

I have very little experience with poker training sites and those who use them, but I suspect that the guys who think about spending their money at them don't want to read things like the above from those who are passing themselves off as experts and charging a fee for their expert opinions.

I am 1 of those who spends his hard earned money on the poker training sites and having watched many of doughnutz's videos, I feel betrayed and hurt.

Who knows how much money he has cost me with his "expert" advice, which only now I realize is a recipe for yearlong losing streaks.

In the future, I might just stick with bicyclekick videos, since I am pretty sure he's never had a huge doughnutzesque downswing.

IfYyouYareYbeing sarcastic, I don't think you understand what I am saying. I am making no value judgements on any videos that doughnutz or anyone else makes. I am merely stating my opinion that I suspect that many would be turned off to paying for poker coaching if even the experts can lose for over 250K hands. I would think that some may then view poker as nearly futile and thus simply not get involved in it. My guess is that such would be bad for business.

I posted a graph showing that I had a bad dowswing, and in the 150k hands since have made nearly $1/hand. I said that at the biginning of that period I played badly; you post strategy on here all the time that shows you don't have much of a grasp on the game -- at least I recognized when I was doing something wrong. I said that moronic trolls like yourself can choose to believe I suck and that nothing I say can change that, and added that I'm quite confident in my ability and my edge.

Are you really this much of an ******* bob? Misrepresenting what someone says for god knows what reason? Is your dick really so small that this bullsh it is what you need to do to get off?

Mods: In all seriousness pokerbob has always been a troll who for whatever reason enjoys belittling others without justification. IMO this post crosses the line. This is supposed to be a strat forum, not the playground for some idiotic juvenile ****head.

Everyone else: Is this really the kind of garbage we want in this forum? Don't humor this as shole.

I obviously take this seriously. When someone so obviously distorts what I said and then uses that against stoxpoker it puts me over the edge. Some people think they can say anything just because this is an internet forum. Say things they'd never have the balls to say to someone's face. Well, Pokerbob, I carry a grudge like you wouldn't believe. At some point I hope I have the pleasure of meeting you face to face.

I think that the ability to say anything without worrying about physical attack is a positive thing about the internet. It's good when ideas can be judged on their own merits and verbal punches won't be pulled.
