Glad to hear you are progressing well. I think your winrate over that many tables is very admirable. I personally couldn't play that many out of the shear tedium (real word?) of it.

Keep up the hard work and GL to you.

Thank you very much. I play short 50-75 min sessions.

I found that stacking the tables makes it pretty easy to play that many as you dont have to move the mouse much.

Also playing tighter ranges makes post flop play a bit more simplified especially OOP.

If I played less tables I would open up a little more from the CO and BTN.
Plus I would call a few more hands from the blinds.
Probably also 3 bet and squeeze late position raisers a bit more with better reads.

I table select by having the rule of at least 2 bad players on the table or I leave.
But even some 20/17 players with solid stats at this level seem to pay off way too much with top pair or an overpair.

I am not sure how much more difficult 100NL will be?

My big goal for the year is to make Supernova Ellite.
Not sure if i will make it but its something to shoot for.

I wanted to update this thread with some thoughts which might help other people who are looking for coaches plus it might even give a few coaches some food for thought.

As I stated in my first post in this thread I started with a very small BR.

I have contacted a number of coaches who post here to see if they would be willing to enter into some kind of payment agreement while my bankroll is growing.

Let me state I never once asked for free coaching, I was willing to pay X amount up front and X % amount as my BR grew and I could afford it.

Overall this type of relationship could be structured so the coach actually earns FAR more from me than if I would have payed all the money up front.

Virtually every single coach turned me down which is really strange considering the line of work we are in.
Virtually all said they were worried about the risk????
What risk? If I am the one putting money up front?

Poker is about making decisions that give you overall +EV

If a coach is pretty confident in his ability to turn a player into a decent winner then surely it make sense from a business standpoint.
Do we turn down 55% situations because we might lose 45% of the time?

If the coach is not confident in turning the vast majority of students into decent long term winners then surely he wasn't worth the money in the first place?

I think a pay plus performance agreement also shows that the coach is not just looking for a quick buck and is actually interested in building a long term relationship which is profitable for both the student and the coach.

Personally I am still looking for a coach to take me to the next level of being a small winner to a decent winner.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments feel free to reply here or IM me.

ugh. this isn't cool man. i hope you realize soon that:

playing fewer tables to fully understand fundamentals >>>>> playing more tables to grind a roll. you'll move up steaks quicker.

Hi

As I said I have been a member of DC for over a month.
I have watched probably 30-40 hours of videos there.

As for the amount of tables, its tricky.

I have been taking some shots at 100NL playing far fewer tables.
(I have won so far over a small insignificant sample)
This allows me more time to analyze each hand and my opponents stats.

The advantage of volume is obviously rakeback and bonuses.
Even if I broke even for the month playing I will earn at least 2-3000.
If I can earn 2BB/100 over that kind of volume I will kicking ass and moving up in no time.

I am not claiming what I am doing is optimal, obviously 1 table isn't optimal for hourly winrate either.
Where that sweet spot is I dont know?
I would be willing to listen to those much better at this than me.

Am I playing too many tables? probably yes.
When I analyze some hands at the end of a session I often catch poorly played hands that I would have played differently with a little more time to analyze how the hand played out.
But as I move up I will be almost forced into playing less tables because my opponents will be on average better and I will have to read my opponents ranges/stats vs flop textures much better.
If I don't I am sure they will crush me.
Not much point in moving up if I am not good enough to win at that level.
