I know pxf will help my S&G, but am spectical about those multitable tournaments.
Like in stats speaking how many times can a player usually finish 1st in those large as* tournaments NLH........1 out 50 or 1 out 100 times
same goes for final tables.
Those big multitable tournaments are like lotteries. I won a tournament only once in 4 years of playing, (mostly play ring games).
Is pxf for the players who play the big online tournaments like $150 and up (including rebuys)?
I usually play the $20-$40 multitable tournaments.
thanks
well here is my take on it...
first i will say i joined PXF in November of last year
i was basically a slight winner... basically abreak even player before PXF... i had read Harrington on Hold em numerous times...
I play primarily MTTs... and i was micro stakes (no more then $5 for tournaments)
i joined PXF and within 3 weeks i made most of my money back by taking first in a freeroll on PStars for $120 (i couldnt deposit with my CC and had just joined PS because macs werent supported til December)
i had an OK month in Jan... made money... but not much
i lost some money in Feb
then i had a break through in march... things i watched in videos were now really sinking in... concepts that i didnt really grasp as well started sinking in
march i didnt win any tournaments... but i made 4 final tables in fields of 1000+ that month... 2 3rd places in the $1 Ferguson... and a 3rd place and an 8th place in the Early Double
April hasnt been as good as my march... but ive been consistently running deep in larger field tournaments with larger buy ins then before...
april has been lots of close calls:
14th in early double
41st twice in early double
43rd in early double
46th in the $28k guarantee
53rd in the $28k guarantee
59th in Midnight Madness
78th of early double
80th of the $32k guarantee
keep in mind these fields range from about 900-1600... and buy ins range from $6 to $26
to the person who made a comment about the forums... the reason the forums are as good as they are at PXF specifically because they are for members only... the posts are usually informative, and without the flame wars on every other site... the PXF chat room is even useful, because pros like Rizen can be found in the chat room often and he does his best to answer any question you can throw at him... from asking him about a poker theory question... to having him analyze a hand you played
i cant say it will be a perfect fit for anyone else out there... but PXF has worked wonders for me... and i continue to learn things from them daily...
there are videos at all stakes... with the concentration being the higher stakes tournaments... i was pretty skeptical that the things i learned there would work in lower buy in tournaments... but they do with some minor adjustments (which they go over in the lower buy in videos)
as far as the huge field tourneys
they have videos of the following:
Rizens Sunday Million win
brsavages deep Sunday Million run 3rd place
aaaaaaa's FTOPS Main Event win
PearlJammers Sunday Million 2nd place
just to name a few
they have both live videos and videos done through the replayer.... which i might add that the PXF replayer is well worth the cost of the subscription alone
im going to end my long infomercial here now.. lol... sorry i sound like im working for them... but im just really happy about my experience @ PXF
I
PXF
