Hi guys, first post (hope it's in an okay section) and i'm hoping i can get some advice on this play. im trying to work out if i could have done something different on this hand or read the guy differently?

1-2 NL Live play against a LAG that's been sitting at the table for a while, betting $30 preflop for the last few hands and stealing blinds, while complaining about the table being dead.

I'm on a ~$120 stack and him on ~$250

Get dealt K Q
He bets $30 as usual, table folds. I call.
Flop 2 7 10
He checks, I check.
Turn K
He bets $60
I call
River K
He looks at my remaining stack and throws in enough chips to cover me.
I call

Spoiler:
He turns over a full house 10 10

Now, i'm used to overly aggro players online but not so much on live so had trouble on trying to put this guy on a hand. Initially, i had him on a mid pair of maybe 88 but due to aggro for the previous hands, it could have even been mid-pair hit on the flop. On the turn i was thrown a bit, and thought best case K-Low kicker, worst case K10 or that he was just trying to scare me out of the pot thinking i had Ax or just in general trying to push out.

One issue which i probably should have considered was I hadn't been on the table for longer than 6-7 hands at this point so didn't have a full picture of his plays before.

Overall, any advice on dealing with LAGs on live?

why not bet the flop, if he is stealing he folds, if calls or reraises you're beat.

You should mention positions when talking about a hand. Thats pretty important.
Calling of 15 bb (25% of stack) and hoping to hit a Q or K while hoping he has not AQ or AK does not seem to be the correct strategy to me.

I think there is no way to not loose all your stack in that hand if you call preflop. I would have bet the flop (depends a little bit on his continuation betting, not betting here could look a little but suspicious if he is betting 100% of the flops)

i believe you should have played it aggressively .

that's why always raise never check or call .

it will determine what hands your opponent have

Agree you have two over cards and a flush draw with alot of outs for his range v.s board texture. If you bet the flop and he calls it doesn't really give a lot of info A10 would call but if he re raises than you might want to fold. So i would say bad read/play on the flop. Also i might re raise preflop KQ suited can dominate alot of ranges depending on his play style and position. Also will give you more info of what you are up against.

why are u short stacked?

As played if he has ak its a cooler. But I would advise to play differently. As played Shove flop you have half your stack in there.

His raise pre is huge and if he's doing it all the time an over shove could steal. But I would probably wait for a different hand. You have time blinds are small. Wait then over shove pre

i think you played it fine. Its a cooler given reads.

only fault one could have with your play is calling $30 pre in a 1-2 game, but if he's been making it $30 often enough to be that wide, i see no problem with you making a stand. perhaps 3-bet ship is better tho. pick up $30+ w/o a showdown often enough.
