I'm looking for a solid winning player that thinks they will be able to teach a consistently losing player how to make consistent profits.

I've been playing for 2 years and have never profited - I've put huge amounts of work into my game but can never manage to consistently make a profit.

I have 30 tabled in the past, so would say I should be able to comfortably 15-20 table. I can play for ten+ hours a day, 6 days a week.

If someone is willing to put the time into teaching me how to beat the game, and are themselves a proven winner please let me know. My suggestion to anyone thinking of coaching me would be that they provide the coaching and original stake and they receive 100% of any profits made during the first year. I don't mind how small the stakes are that we start at. Winning is what matters to me over time.

I am happy to invest 1 year of solid playing to become a winning player and if someone is able to teach me how to be a winning player, the returns they'll make in terms of 1 year profit should be pretty substantial as I'll be playing solid and will be putting an amazing amount of effort into my game.

In terms of transferring any profits, I'll happily do this however the coach wants and with what ever frequency, i.e. daily or weekly or however the coach would like to work it.

I'm intelligent and am sure I will make a good student. I have Sklanskys Theory of Poker amongst other books and I'll do whatever I'm told to do and work hard ten hours a day. Aside from the profit the coach will also have the accolade of turning a losing player of 2 years into a winning player, because I will be playing so often, if the coach can make me a winning player it should be a great testimonial for any future students because I should make a fair amount of profit.

If you are losing money playing tons of tables, it sounds like you need to reduce the number of tables you are playing. Try playing a lot less tables depending on the game type, I'd say fullring - 4 tables, 6max - 2 tables, HU -1 table. it is amazing how much this will help you improve your game. Try that before hiring a coach. gl

This. If you are losing money then multitabling only helps you lose it faster. It makes it nearly impossible for you to learn as well because you aren't giving yourself time to think about your actions.

I have tried I went through a long patch of just two tabling I think I must have some fairly major leaks which is why I want the coach to tell me what to do and watch me / teach me. I've really had enough of losing, I think the coach is getting a great deal - because I'm basically selling my time for one 30th of the coaches time assuming say one or two hours coaching a week. I'd be playing solidly throughout the week and paying all the profits to the coach. While If I could become a winning player, that would be the best thing that's happened to me lately so I'd definately be getting great value too.

It doesn't seem to matter if I play one two three or twenty tables I've never been able to generate consistent profits and that's something I'd like to fix with the help of a good player.

As far as what you are asking for goes, it will be hard for a coach to turn you into a winning playing after 1-2 hours of coaching. It will ultimately come down to your capability to understand what the coach presents (given the coach is decent) and then apply it. So you'd probably still be losing after the first few weeks.

Further I don't think a coach/staker will risk their own money for you to learn on. They can use the same money to sponsor someone that's a proven winner. Also a deal like this will most likely require some sort of a contract between the two of you and a lot of coaches/stakees don't even consider someone if they don't have references (good references).

So, in my opinion you'll have better success finding a coach to teach you for free if you had a bankroll (of course you wouldn't need to pay 100% to him for one year).

This post for many is going to seem a little far fetched as how are you going to possibly play 60+ hours a week for a year straight and never take any of the profits? You have no time for any other source of income. Are you a student? In many peoples eyes this is going to look way to suspicious so I would say explain your situation better and you might get a few bites.

I agree with this one. You need something to make the coach believe that you won't just take the coaching and disappear. Without any references how is anyone supposed to believe that you are going to take an entire year paying everything you make to the coach? Secondly, what motivation would you have to grind when you know that any money you make is going to someone else?

I agree - To be honest I actually considered helping you (I've already done this with another student, see http://padawan.rolledontheriver.com) but this is a deal breaker for me. It seems like you haven't been realistic with your post and because of that it's going to be very hard for you to find anybody willing to take you up on this.

I would suggest re-writing your original post detailing exactly how you can afford to send a coach all profits as well as invest 60 hours a week into your game. Are you keeping the rakeback and living off that? Do you have a fixed income you don't need to work for? What's the catch?
