x-post from my post in the cardrunners forum

I'm looking to get together a study group for 100-200NL 6 max games. I'm looking for serious players who want to eventually move up the ranks to 2/4 and higher. I've tried getting one together before but it just fell apart. Right now I play 100NL on FTP after playing 200NL on both FTP and stars where I have been a decent winner (not crushing, but a consistent 2 BB winner). I've been playing seriously for a couple years now as a way to give myself some income while finishing out college. I'm looking for a group of about 4-5 who ideally could contribute on at least a weekly basis (preferably 2x) to talk about hands, do sweat sessions, etc. The overall goal here is to improve our game and winrate and move up (I will go to 200 relatively soon and hopefully 2/4 maybe next summer after I put in a lot of hands at 200). If anyone is interested post here or PM me with a little info about yourself, why you want to join, and what you hope to accomplish by joining the group.

I live in the UK and play 50-100nl. I just recently finished uni and consider myself a good player. I am very serious about improving my game so get in touch if you are the same.

Hi,
Im young eager player from the Czech republic. I have been playing poker something about one year, but I think that I have managed to improve my game quite substantially - I have read 3 books, innumerable articles on the internet and recently I have started posting hands on 2+2. I have made my bankroll from freerolls and now I play SnG for 90 people for 6dollars and SnG for 180 people for 4dollars. (both on PS).
So now Id like to join some study group. Feel free to contact me!

Hey I've been playing 5cd for about two years now and I am a decent player.

Currently I barely use any game theory, I am looking for a study group to talk about optimizing bluffing frequencies and other things like that.

If anyone is interested in sharing or exploring this facet of 5cd with me/ or discuss most of it to solidify it, I would be eager to work on this.

Hello,

I currently co-run a Skype study group for SH players looking to improve their game and increase their winrate. The group has been running for a while and as of 11/10/10 we have 72 members. The skill level varies and people are playing different limits. We have some struggling 5NL players but we also have winning 1000NL players.

If you join our group there are a few requirements:
  • Fill out our Google documents with basic information about you
  • Have a microphone
  • Take part in hand discussions
  • Take part in poker discussions
  • Take part in sweat sessions
  • Take part in recorded or review sessions
  • To not whine about bad beats / suckouts / downswings
  • To not make off topic conversations in our group
  • To respect other members and understand that some are not as experienced than you

In this group we prune members who are not active and we also remove any members who are abusive and do not try to help other members.

If you would like to be a part of this please PM me the following information:

I have recently gotten pretty big into rush, but just on the smaller scale as of right now (.05/.10) just to get used to it. But yes I am interested in being able to talk with people that are playing or have been playing for a while. Can't use PM yet cause I'm a NOOB but let me know if you get anything going.

Hello, I'm a current college student who plays at the .3/.5 level for NL cash games. I also play some sng's and mtt. I've been playing for a year or so on and off and have read a couple books but I'm really looking to step up my game and I hear having a study group helps a lot. I'm either looking to start one or join one. Let know if interested!
