Hi all.
I am starting a MTT study group. I have run a SnG study group in the past. It only lasted a few months and it was a pain in the ass but it improved my game. I now play FT MTT's . I usually play $2 -$24 buy ins. My focus is $8 MTT currently and my ave buy in is $5 Getting my BR big enough to regularly do $24 MTT's is my next goal. My ROI is 14% over 300 games.
I'm looking for players that have at least 200 MTT's played who have read some poker books.

Here is my plan. Join my group and promise to stay for six weeks. I will match you with another player and each week you will review an entire tournament for another player in the group. We will do this by sending a tournament preloaded in a hand replayer. Everyone is required to review at least one tournament every week for six weeks. Reviewing a tournament takes about 20-30 minutes. That way each week we give comments on someone else's play and get comments on out own.

At the end of six weeks if you like, stay on for another 6 weeks or leave. I chose this method to deal with the issue of players dropping out. I'm asking for a firm commitment. Not 2 weeks not 3 weeks. SIX WEEKS. That is 6 games reviewed by you and six games reviewed for you.

I will rotate players so that you get a different perspective each week. Of course if you meet someone you respect and decide to review tons of tournaments on the side, great! All I ask is that you finish the 6 weeks. My last group had 16 players in it and had some beginners and some very strong grinders. You have to be willing to take the good with the bad. To the degree I am able to stratify matchings by buy ins I will but to start that will not be possible.

My thought is that we will keep our screen names private but I would like you to share some stats when you join the group. Games played, ave buy in, where you play, how long you have played and your ROI.

I am looking to start a study group for live players in Las Vegas. I will be moving out there on December 1st to play full time starting at small stakes no limit. Specifically, I am looking for people living in Vegas playing these levels, not the "I played there once last year" guy. The plan is to find maybe two or three guys who do not ever want to sit at the same tables and really study and break these games down, meeting Monday and Tuesday evenings. If you know of a poker buddy in Vegas I would appreciate it if you might direct me to him. Thanks in advance and looking forward to meeting you.

Parents of little ones? Want to get more Volume in? Well, I'm forming this group to help support each other in improving our game & make some money playing while raising kids. I know Parenting and Grind together is an Oxymoron but we can make it work.
I play mostly Live/Online cash games because I can quit anytime. I do play MTTs/SNGs if time permits. So this group is for all disciplines.
The most important topic to discuss is Time Management. I know as parents we can't grind for 40 hours and still have a full time job but we can go over HHs and discuss strategy on they hands we are able to play during the week. Is anyone else in the same boat and would like to contribute to helping each other out? I know Parenting and Grind together is an Oxymoron but we can make it work. PM me and we can get a group going. Good luck =)

I want to start a study group with 2 other active people. Why only 2? Because I think that if we all are active players this should be enough. I am a winning player at 20NL but plan to move up pretty soon. You have also to be a player at this level at least and you have to play a lot and want to do a lot of sessions (sweat, HH). I do a lot to improve my game and I suspect that you do the same. Otherwise it simply won't work. Last few (3) months I move up pretty easily from 6NL (80 dollars) to 20NL (1k) and I do everything to move up asap. I live in Europe btw. A quick note about me: I always want to know best (a bit stuborn) and I would like it if you have the same mindset because I think you need that if you want to move up in stakes fast. Just PM me with some info if you are interested.
