Doesn't sound too good, issues like taking notes and pasting a password is relatively meaningless to me but I despise lobbys where you simply can't see the games that are running and choose what you want to play. Sometimes I just want to watch too.

I get it, I guess they want to eliminate bumhunting and think that this will ultimately get more games going but I can also see many players (alot of them recs) that would be completely turned off by this and not play at all

Just let us see the games ffs

Agreed. If it would ultimately lead to fishier games or more games then I would be all for it and I can even be fine going HUD free.
But I just don't see it realistic to get 6 cash-game tables going or anything like that. Will be interesting to see what happens when PA and other states eventually pool their players. Probably still several months to go before that. But the way the site does this I'm not even convinced that will end up improving things very much.

Probably not bad if you're a tourney guy...especially if the bracelet thing is attractive to you. Probably a fishier-than-normal pool in their tourneys as a result.

It is interesting because all 3 of the clients in PA all have different lobbies.

PokerStars is the traditional you can see everything
PartyPoker is a hybrid, you can see the tables but not the player names
WSOP is completely flying blind

I kind of like that we have 3 different lobbies. The market will decide which is best.

WSOP copied this model from Bovada. Fwiw Bovada has had the most consistently soft games for the past decade (but you can only 4 table).

In NV the rakeback is 20% on deposit bonuses, it is likely the same for PA.

All of my yellow tags got changed to green tags overnight. Is this going to keep happening?

So far I've found the cash games to be low traffic but super soft for now. Found a few absolute maniacs but mostly very check/call passive types. Who knows if that lasts. Maybe lack of chat, lack of table selecting, note taking, HUDs (not sure if allowed or simply doesn't work) is part of that. Noticed that much like Borgota/MGM there tends to be little, if any, traffic at 25NL and lower or at 1Knl and higher. Seems like most of the limited cash traffic is at 50NL to 500NL. But with the welcome offers worth a table or two alongside your other cash preferred site(s) maybe.

As for tournies I hope, and expect, being WSOP branded they will have a deeper tourney schedule with bigger guarantees. Seems very lacking compared to Pokerstars PA, although bracelet events and satellites to live WSOP events (would like to see more sats and smaller ones) are definitely going to be a good thing for them.

I'm enjoying the change and differences from PokerstarsPA for now.

On another note does anyone know if WSOP PA's terms prohibit use of a HUD? Or is it simply the software doesn't work yet on the site?

Does anyone know what's going on with the withdrawal system? I won a few of those $1k freeroll's and they won't let me withdraw the money.

Wait there is really no note taking and no chat? Are those things they are going to update for or permanent?

Hey guys, I’m thinking of driving to PA to fire the bracelet events, got a couple questions.

1. What documentation do I need to provide before they’ll let me deposit?

2. Where’s the best place near the MD line to post up and play?

3. I remember hotels being a problem last year because two players on the same IP address was getting red flagged or something like that. Is this still an issue?

Thanks in advance

1. You don't have to be in PA to create your account and deposit. So you can get that all done before you go. I didn't have to supply any documentation before depositing.

2. Can't help.

3. I go to hotels, but turn my mobile hot spot on my phone on, and use that to connect. I don't use the hotel wi-fi, mostly because a lot of them suck so I don't want to keep getting disconnected.

Yes, I frequently work off my hotspot at hotels in many places. Because hotel wifi can be REALLY bad to practically unusable. Especially if you are in a room at the end of the hall or at a corner.
This is the case even for nicer hotels in my experience. If you're on the 12th floor of a nice place in a major city there is a good chance you will get total garbage for your wifi. But the same can happen on the 2nd floor of a two-story Holiday Inn Express. I would say more than half the hotels I stay at have been WiFi from my room.
Usually the signal from the lobby is going to be decent.

MD/PA line is huge west to east, going to have to give more relevant info for that one.

When I traveled to NJ to play, I picked a hotel that offered ethernet and wifi. I used my ethernet cable with no issue.

Best of luck, and safe travels.

Yeah, direct ethernet cable in the room definitely is preferred. Forgot I've had that in a couple places I have been sent for work.

From 83 York PA will have best staying and eating options although you can find options ~20 min closer if you just need a room and internet.

About how much data does your hotspot use? I like this idea but I want to make sure I don't run out of data mid-tourney.

Thanks again everyone, big help. My plan is coming together nicely

You'll be fine. I have 50 gigs and used it for an entire month during covid waiting on comcast to send a tech to fix my Internet and I'm on my computer all day everyday grinding and it took up until the last few days to hit 50 gigs and once I did they just slowed it down.
