I think having PT4 open while playing on wsop.com and ACR caused me to get kicked off wsop.com under the pretense of "geolocation."

When I close PT4 and restart wsop.com, it goes back to believing i'm in Nevada.

Extra frustrating as it booted me right as I got all-in during a rebuy period and lost, so i couldn't rebuy. Dumb bad software.

I think you'll only get an e-mail about W2Gs taxes if you win over $5k in one tournament. Anything under that I guess is on you to report yourself.

Last year it took me months to get my W2G as I couldn't get past their registration page without a varication code that they never gave me.

This year was way better as their tax dept just sent me my W2G in a password locked PDF without any registration page.

W2G is for 5k profit or more in a single tournament. In 2019, I think they were sending me one every time, a few days after. In 2020, I think I got them all at the end of the year--or at the very least, in chunks, and not one by one. This year, my first score >5k was this past Tuesday and I still have not received anything.

In any case, I believe it's kind of a moot point if you're reporting accurately/as a professional gambler. You have to report the net gambling result regardless. I simply send all the ones I receive to my accountant, but for example ACR never sends any, and I'm reporting all of those profits too.

so you basically have to choose if you wanna play wsop.com or any other site
So f*cking stupid. I hope PT4 simply issues an update that gets around this. The idea that PT4--which has ZERO FUNCTIONALITY with WSOP--is "live assistance" is hilarious.

It's a net loss for both them and me. Now, I will play sessions with no PT4 (so, no HUD on ACR), but only when higher stakes stuff is running on WSOP. If it's only 250s/100s on WSOP, I will simply skip them all, because I believe the EV of having my notes/stats on ACR is far higher.

So in the end, I lose $EV, and they lose rake (I pay...a lot of rake annually to WSOP.com)

I wonder if it is because they caught players screen scraping with pt4

Welp just made my first withdrawal request @ rio while WSOP is going on. I assume it's going to be a long wait in line but maybe they have a seperate line at the cashier for non WSOP live stuff lol. I could do another Caesars casino but Rio is so much closer. I'll report back how it goes lol

Can Brazilian players play on this site?

I am staying at an airbnb in Nevada, but can't get the site to think I am in Nevada... any suggestions? It just says "we are having trouble verifying your location"

When I look up whatismyip.com it does seem to think I'm in Georgia for some reason, although I am literally sitting at a house in Nevada. Anyone figure out a way around this issue?

Note: Also just tried a public wifi at a coffeeshop which whatismyip.com locates to Las Vegas but no luck.

I’ve heard that being close to multiple wifi hotspots will boost chances, as the algorithm uses nearby wifi signals to geolocate

Okay, in case this happens to anyone else, it's a setting on Macs to allow specific apps to know your location. By default, any new app is not allowed. You have to go into system preferences and allow wsop nv to access your location.

i tried explaining exactly this to their support, that they are now basically forcing players to choose wsop or any other site to grind and they will lose a lot of rake for it. they responded with some BS copy paste answer because they dont even understand what PT4 is

One workaround you can do is get a separate computer and set it up on a second monitor. Then get a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard that allows you to toggle back and forth between computers with the click of a button.

I kinda cheated this, I just went at like 2am and there was literally no line. YMMV process was smooth lol.

Does anyone see last week's rakeback bonus in their account? I got the email saying it was released but I don't see it in my bankroll.

I did get a separate email saying I would be receiving tax forms for it, so maybe I need to fill those out first.

How did you get the promotion? I emailed support before the date and they never got back to me

Can't edit my original post, but looks like it was applied shortly after I posted this.

The documents asked were proof of address and proof of income. I sent both these documents in on Sept 13th and was told that WSOP would get back to me within two days.
After two days and not hearing anything back, I called wsop toll free number (1-866-745-2385) on Sept 15th. They say they're escalating the matter to the top and will get back to me within two days. I call again on Sept 17th, and receive the same news. I call again on Sept 20th, and am told that the matter JUST NOW got escalated to the top.

On Sept 24th, I get a direct line to the a WSOP supervisor (702-207-5160). He mentions how this is the first time the team is seeing my documents and that he will send them to the "financial department". I'm BAFFLED it's their first time seeing my documents. He also promises that 100% guarantee I will get a phone call back on the 25th and he will tell me whether the financial department has concluded their review on my documents. Of course, I never get the phone call on the 25th. I call back Sept 26th, and the person on the phone says a supervisor will call back within 48 hours. I am still waiting on the call back.

It just seems my account suspension is not a priority and I am treated like trash waste.

Here is a timeline of the events

September 12th - WSOP emails me to send in documents to unblock the account.

Septemeber 13th - I send in the docuemtns via https://cashier-nj.secured-igaming-services.com/. I am told that the WSOP will respond to me in two days.

September 15th - I call 1-866-745-2385 and they say the documents are still under review and that the situation is being escalated to the top. They say I will hear back in two days.

September 17th - I call 1-866-745-2385 again, and they say the same thing as September 15th.

September 20th - I call 1-866-745-2385, and am told that the situation JUST NOW got escalated to the top.

September 24th - I get a direct line to a WSOP supervisor (702-207-5160). He mentions how this is the first time the team is seeing my documents. I am promised that he will 100% call back tomorrow.

September 25th- I receive no phone call back from WSOP supervisor.

September 26th - I call back Sept 26th, and the person on the phone says a supervisor will call back within 48 hours. I am still waiting on the call back.

Please, I am asking your team to do anything in your ability to speed this process up. I have been extremely tilted since this incident has happened, I have no where to play online poker.

What can I do in this situation? I've emailed them, I've called them. It's been such a EXTREMELY frustrating process. Any advice is appreciated
This finally got resolved, my account is back

Hi everyone,

This is a serious question to those that have withdrew from WSOP.com, before. I am sure that everyone has had their share of bad beats, but, I find it unusual to run especially bad after withdrawing cash from the site. I have withdrew cash from the site twice before and after both times, I have lost over 90% of my all-ins ranging from 40% to over 90% win percentage. I may have lost close to 20 consecutively flips or >50% at one point. Its so bad that I am calling the two or three outers that are coming before they appear on turn or river. It amazing.

Example: The latest tournament today was a hand I had AJ on the button. Flop JXX. Turn J. All in on turn. BB villain has J5. 5 on river.

I know it may sound ridiculous, but if there are people who withdrew from the site and did not run bad, I will be perfectly fine with my run of luck. Any response would be appreciated. Thank you to the community.

TLDR: Are accounts flagged to run bad after withdrawal from the site?

I've been withdrawing consistently since 2015 and never had any problems whatsoever. Most likely a coincidence. Poker is a sick game, as a cash game player, +/- 30 buy in stretches can happen when you play enough poker. Tournies is much much worse

Thank you kindly for your response.

I should have clarified. This is for tournies. Interestingly, I do not seem to have this issue in the cash games. However, I do not play cash often, so I am unsure.
