The support is ****-tier, you're right on that.
Basically, when NV and NJ merged, they moved the site to the NJ site. So if you had a NV account, you had to make a new account on wsop.nj. So now when you try to log into wsop.nv, you're redirected behind the scenes to wsop.nj, where you haven't created an account yet. So all you have to do is create a new account. They transfered all money/tickets over to the new accounts at the merger last year, so I'd assume there's some accounting of your old balance that should show up on your new account, but I'm not sure how long that would take. Also you'll have to re-verify your account when you cash out.
