New software and MI joining in the next 2 weeks. Sounds like it's happening, but I won't believe it until I see it. lol

New software has PLO on Ipad and Phones also.

The first event is about 2 weeks away and in typical fashion, we haven't heard zip from wsop regarding the new software. I remember getting an email about transferring my balance and changing my screen name before the merger back in 2018.

Adding MI is a huge step in the right direction but without some kind of manager (face) communicating with players and properly managing the schedule it's just going to be the same ****!

I'm half expecting to try to login one day in the next couple weeks and the client just won't open anymore and we'll have to go through hoops to transfer our $ over to the new software.

Welp it looks like wsop took down the online circuit schedule for May

I don't see the update happening anytime soon unless they plan to just randomly pull the plug one night then everyone will have to deal with their shitty support for weeks to get re-verified

According to Kevmath, that is something that happens often, a different department or glitch posts schedules before they want and they take them down and repost on the 1st of month.

May 1st is when he says the online bracelet events should be announced, it's highly likely that is when we will hear an announcement about any new software or MI merging.

So, I got bored and curious and downloaded the "updated" 888 MI wsop.com client.

It has no Stud, Stud/8 or Limit O/8, PLO/8 tables. It doesn't even have tabs for Stud and Stud/8 and Limit O/8.

It at least has a tab for PLO/8 but no populated tables. Just an error message.

Can anyone confirm that this is, in fact, accurate? They can't be this stupid. But, of course, they can.

I just tried a few hours ago and got a virus warning (pup), In that case you can just disable virus protection and download the software and then re-enable the virus protection and it works right?

I got no virus warning but I also VPN’d to Michigan just in case it wouldn’t let me download otherwise.

If you’re sure the link is from the right place IMO there’s no issue and yeah you can bypass it however you’d like

For the past month or so the client would not allow more than 2 tables to be open total per cash game stake. Not 2 max per player, but 2 max for the entire site. As for today it won't even allow any 200nl tables to be opened. You'll also lose your rakeback so be careful what you wish for as far as updated software.

Thanks for the feedback.

Can you confirm that you guys currently have access to ONLY limit hold ‘em, no limit hold ‘em and PLO for cash games?

You downloaded the MI client right? Just look at the lobby and see if anybody is playing more than 2 tables.

Assuming you can see who is playing in the lobby like in NV, I think I saw somebody say you can't in MI, I don't know.

You can’t see screennames in the lobby. And you can’t open tables when you’re out of state

I think MI players will get an updated rewards system to the same they have in NV/NJ

I talked with support, and they confirmed that the new software upgrade is coming in the next week or so and also the MI merge, but they didn't have any specifics on dates.

I am still guessing we will know on May 1st the details. Also, they said you would need to re-sign up on the new software, so I hope there is no issue with losing your screen name or anything.

Highly likely to be an issue with notes, I already saved my note file, hopefully it's the same format and can just update my note file on the new system.

If that doesn't work at least you can open that note file up find any players you are playing with and then manually add notes and player type, etc.

Hopefully the new software is not very hard to take notes on like some have said, where they have to click a ton trying to get it to open. Hopefully they just didn't know where to click.

Opening the notes is a big pain in the ass on the Michigan software. I play a few times a week.

Looking at the MI software, things are way different from NV/NJ, I mean the tournaments and no full ring cash except 2nl.

I guess they will be revamping the tournament big time, with different start times, guarantees, adding RB addon's like NV has.

Now all the smaller tournaments on MI are crap turbos. But that is why all schedules are cleared after Tuesday so they can have the new schedules out Wednesday.

No April bonus. I doubt they will do a $1000 bonus in May for the WSOP because it doesn't start until May 28th. Last year the WSOP started May 30, and the $1000 bonus for it didn't happen until June.

Maybe the reason for no April bonus is a bigger bonus in May for the merger. Usually they give you 90 days to clear a $1k deposit bonus.

Forgive me, but can you tell me where to locate the notes file? I appreciate your help

This PC/Documents/WSOP.com/Your screen name/Notes.xml

They might let everyone change their names like they did when the first merge happened. The notes won't transfer then.

It would be nice if the new software stored the notes internally so you can see them on PC and tablet and didn't have to worry about losing them.

Thanks for the update. Probably a good idea to withdraw funds before the 1st

Saving notes may be problematic because we'll likely have the option to change screen names when we re-sign up.

Let's just hope they put together a playable daily schedule outside of the circuit events

Also guessing we no longer need 888 caption for BB view?

Yes, that is what worries me, is the daily tournament schedule they put together, as MI and PA is a lot different than NV, and NJ, you would think they would add a lot of the normal stuff from what runs on NV and NJ, but who knows.

I don't have high confidence in WSOP. lol

And what will they do with cash games, as MI and PA has only 2nl full ring and I think no stud and no Omaha H/L, while NV, NJ has up to 50nl full ring, stud and H/L,

Will they keep everything that NV has on cash and tournament?

I believe you can easily flip back and forth between bb and chips.

I called them again to see what info I could get. This person seemed pretty sure that you will have to sign up on the new site and you may be able to get current username if it's available and your balance won't transfer.

You would need to make fresh deposit and cash out from the old site. Also says everything offered in NV/NJ will just add on to the MI site, so won't be losing anything and MI will be gaining the new cash games and tournaments.

When talking to any customer service in any industry, you never know how true anything they say is. Hopefully this is all true, although that sucks about cashout/deposit if true.
