The United States is on the prohibited banned list and they have several players like Brad Owen and Andrew Neeme playing real money, raked cash games and real money raked tournaments it would appear from Texas and other prohibited parts of the United States. How are they allowed to log into their accounts in a prohibited area? Does WPT Global whitelist them and allow them to circumvent geo location security using a vpn? Very suspect

I've seen them marketing pretty aggressively on American poker streams (LATB/Hustler live), however they're not available in US. Does anyone know whats going on there? Why would they spend marketing dollars on a region they're not accepting players from?
Well it seems they are allowing their American influencers and ambassadors log in and play from within the United States. Not sure logging in and playing in play money games would be much of a legality issue but they are allowed to bypass geo location features in the software (I could not log into a restricted area of my country while travelling), allowed to join and play raked real money cash and tournament games. At least one ambassador has stated they do not withdrawal or deposit from within the USA implying thats ok to play since they just are playing (with WPT Global money) and they are just given a fee for their employment, don’t keep winnings. If this is the case, to me, that means WPT Global is hiring players from restricted areas to log on in these restricted areas and generate rakes for them from restricted areas. In Texas, for example, live poker rooms are illegal unless you apply for a license. If you don’t you have to operate your rooms under the guise of a club and not take rakes, but instead charge a membership fee or something similar. All semantics. At the end of the day it just seems shady and I wouldn’t keep any amount of money u aren’t ok with losing to a site foreclosing instantly because they are breaking their own tos l. And where is their license issuer that is suppose to uphold WPT Global and make sure they Bode by their own TOS? Very suspect
