Address not valid is most like due to a different type of wallet. Addresses that start b1... are legacy and addresses starting numerical are segwit. Not all wallets accept both and that is probably the issue.
I'd strongly advise using a non KYC wallet like Exodus. They have both types of addresses, no internal verification. You use it to withdraw or deposit. So buy your bitcoin on an exchange, send to exodus, and then to poker site and repeat for withdrawals.
