Can the ACR Rep confirm if there are props playing for ACR? Player "Gift of Gab" who is at the top of the rake race every month claims that he gets paid $2,000 a week to put in x number of hands. Is this true?

I wish I knew how the rake races worked. 5 dollar fees in tournament get players 50 points. I have like 400 points and have raked 300 dollars for the site in 2 weeks so its pointless for me to compete in rakeback as no where even near last place which is pretty aggrevating since I put in descent volume at omaha. Not sure I am crazy about the dealt rakeback as i like to get what I earn and am in a lot of pots without the need of getting deal rakeback status but good for people that are tight in terms of rakeback.

Site has pretty good tournamens way better then Minted or Everleaf by far I am pretty happy overall with having this site as an option as an american player

At least it is contributed rake and he is not 24 table nitting it up for raked hands only. I built up my roll a bit and played him some against him. I have little interest playing a prop. I have no interest in giving any action when I find old 2+2 threads mentioning him in the same sentence as spiritrock and other old school players. I can play craps in a live casino and have more of a chance than playing them

if giftofgab gets 2k/mo plus the rake race thats bs. and mightytiny, all he doe is nit it up. i can only think of one player who plays tighter than him. also, he's pretty terrible

I emailed support and they categorically deny "Gift of Gab" gets paid as a prop. They say they have no props. I'm not sure I believe them. Gab said again yesterday that he does get paid. He may be lying--although I'm not sure why he would. If he is gettting paid $2,000 a week, that is some major BS.

After reading the True poker thread that mightytiny posted above, it seems as if something shady is going on. Not to mention if he is a prop for $2,000 a week and they also let him participate in the rake race and get rakeback (or the new rewards program), this is totally ridiculous. He could be a breakeven player and earn over $200,000 a year with those kind of bonuses.

GOG I do not think is a prop for ACR. I think it is for Truepoker but I could be wrong.

What giftofgab gets and not is up to them...I do not desire playing against pros...I play only for fun now and will just go to my land based casinos from now on

There is a section somewhere I read that you need to send in copy of drivers lisence, utility bill and there is an initial cost of 25 dollar processing fee then its 4 dollars a month. I really think the site could give something back to the players by giving a higher rake percentage to players who START tables. It would create a lot of goodwill say 40 percent to players who start tables instead of 27 percent. If site can pay props 2k for hands played certainly they could do something for other loyal players. I start a lot of omaha tables and have seen them running quite a lot.Omaha generates way more rake then any other game, give something back to the players who are generating profits!

There where other issues like a player who had his account frozen for chip dumping and I would really like to see that addressed as well as the hand numbers in that case. I haven't seen a rep in this thread in a while it would be nice to see a rep address rescent concerns in this thread. Thank you.

What I would suggest for all moderators of "official" site threads in this forum would be that in the first post of the thread the reps post a few hours that they would be on each week. No site outside of Stars do we expect to have a person just dedicated to forum traffic but by posting saying that the rep would be on a few hours a week and these are the hours no one has to wonder if the rep is AWOL.
