just logged in to acr and got an update and Norton antivirus deleted the acr exe and I cant run acr. Norton says it contains a Trojan virus. Have been playing on the site for over a year and never had a problem. Anyone else have this issue?

The executable files are NOT COMPROMISED. Norton is pretty much the nut low anti-virus program. It commonly identifies numerous online gaming and poker sites as "Trojan viruses"

Ignore it, false positives are standard with Norton. I highly recommend just getting something free like Avast or AVG.

got call today from cali number. I missed it and called back and said the number didn't exist. Googled it and someone had mentioned free $50 on ACR. Logged in and sure enough free $50, been playing, seemed good, and now all the sudden site doesn't seem to work

Oh, hell no. No chance are they going to be able to run the $1 Million with no problems. People freakout with $50 invested in a tournament when it freezes. The second the first freeze happens in the $1 Million people will go nuts over a $500 entry.

I'm not convinced it's America's Cardroom's fault...

I really do believe land based Casinos are paying hackers to mess with the site on the week of the biggest poker series since Black Friday. Part of the reason I say this too...Carbon Poker had the same freeze up issues on Sunday night during their big events, as well.

So, something is going on. I don't think it's a coincidence that Carbon and ACR all of sudden have major freeze ups at the same time when they're on different networks.

Just read a tweet from ACR. Apparantly they are making an effort to fix their connectivity problems in time for the million tournament. Tweet is below:

"@ACR_POKER: We have a crew of people working on reestablishing our connections and making sure we have a stable environment to finish this week"

My question...it seems weird that they say "to finish this week". That almost implies that they are done operating after this week?

I don't believe that is what is actually happening, but just posting here to confirm that nobody else has heard grim news about ACR's future
