I will probably sound like a huge noob asking this but whatever... What's the deal with the benefit levels? Is there a rakeback percentage for each level? I could not seem to find this out looking at the website...

I have mixed feelings about that, because entries coming in close to the 2-hour mark add to the prize pool (assuming the guarantee is reached), but they have little chance of cashing. To put in another way, they are dead money.

You don't have to know anything about tournament structures to realize that if many of the players at your table have 5X your starting stack or more, you're not in a good situation. That's a mistake that you should only make once. As Tony Dunst is wont to say, let's break it down:

If Joe enters just before the 2-hour break, assume that he is working with a starting stack of 5K, 15-minute blinds, the standard WPN tournament structure and a 9-player table. Level 9 (the start of hour 3) has blinds and antes of 200/400/50--which gives Joe a starting M of 4.8, or 12.5 BB! And by the way, if Joe manages to hang on through level 9, level 10 (300/600/75) boosts the blinds and antes by more than 50%.

Yet, a lot of players enter just before the 2-hour mark. Why?

I don't know why anyone is complaining about a 2 hour late registration, its the same as a live tournament.

They have had tourneys with 4 hrs late reg + unlimited re-entries. Pretty chaotic.

I enter the Sunday tourney about a half hour before the late registration period ends, because it's such an enormous prize pool and ACR hardly has any of those, and that's the earliest I can get in.

I agree it's not optimal but it's better than not playing it. I usually double and triple up shortly after entering, anyway, because so many terrible players play in it.

ACR Rep, how is the players/flop calculated? The % is shockingly high compared to other sites. Do you calculate it differently than the industry standard or is there some sort of glitch?

what are the chances of the beast and bbj getting the boot? Probably going back to Merge if these are going to be here for the long run. The games are horrid bc of them.

Yeah, very terrible. Guy just shipped 100bb in the 50k on my top 2 only to bink a paired board. Disgusting, I love it so much though. You don't get this level of stupidity too many places.

cant speak for tournaments, I play 0 of them. But the 6max games are so nitty. Its either cooler someone or cbet fold.

This is by far the tightest least action network ive seen, and its not even close really.

Tournaments are the easiest online and cash games are biggest nit fests I've ever seen. Here's to a 20bb heater. If only I could run half way decent lol....

They just messed up the Beast $50k

Blinds stopped at level 16 - 250/500. We played this for over an hour it said "Last Level".

As soon as the tournament got to the money we got this message:

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have been forced to suspend the play of this tournament. Players that have finished in the money, thus far, will receive the minimum payout ($75) and will receive an additional $.79 per 100 chips in their chip stack. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and if you have any additional support problems, please contact Customer Support."

Ouch......

Looks like an error in The Beast from the start...

The info section where it shows the blind levels only went up to 250/500 and was completely blank after...I'm assuming this was a programming error that was made before the tournament started.

Was my 1st time playing it too. What a shame

You run a promotional tournament for a rakerace WE pay for and can't even do that right. My suggestion is EVERYONE in the tournament who registered restarts it another day.
