for the most part, run it twice is only a way to smoothen out short term luck. If you're playing 100k-250k hands per month, you get to see most of that "long term" EV anyway which a lot of recs don't. But also, since you're generally getting in +EV situations anyway, you don't want a second chance for fish to get lucky. But then it also works the other way around. So long term, it doesn't matter.

And since it doesn't matter long term, at worst, it takes a bit of extra time to get the hand done. So you're stacking +EV by not wasting time running it twice and getting on with the next hand quickly.

I have a new lenovo legion gaming laptop (pretty decent resources- should be overkill for just multitable poker and is on other platforms), and I have this issue when running 3 or more cash tables. I do use pt4 and stack and tile, however they show no significant load on any resources they utilize when i check them in various diagnostic programs. Originally I thought it was a problem with the graphics card configuration or something, and went through many trial and error attempts to resolve it but apparently it's on the server's end... I thought it seemed to have gotten worse since the last update and came here to see if anyone else was experiencing similar issues. I could be wrong about the update being the cause but if so I doubt the issue will be resolved any time soon, unfortunately.

Been getting a glitch where when multi-tabling, another table will pop up, than disappear.

Happened multiple times last session, I had 5 tables at the time. This was for PLO cash, anyone else get this?

I've had this happen when I was on the waiting list for an additional table when running multiples (nlh cash games), I don't know what causes it or if it effects your position in the waiting list or anything, and as of late I can't open more than a couple tables for 30 mins before I get sat out due to the software freezing. To answer your question, yes I've experienced this as well as much more frustrating issues lately.

Never had this problem, but I use stack and tile, which automatically adjusts the size and positioning of the windows as you open them. I did read somewhere about an issue related to ACR that sounded similar- it mentioned not being able to interact with the app at all in any way after opening it. I don't remember where I read it but it advised to run as administrator to resolve the issue. I already run as admin by default so maybe that's why I haven't experienced this myself, definitely can't hurt to try. Hope it works.. Good Luck.

I think you're framing this a little backwards. When running it twice, at worst the "bit of extra time to get the hand done" is literally a fraction of a second. So the downside is miniscule.

As for the upside: 1) few people actually put in several hundreds of thousands of hands month-in and month-out, 2) AIEV cold streaks can last quite long (I'm 40 BIs below over the last 150k hands on ACR), 3) we can argue semantics all we want about what's long term vs medium term variance or whatever, but we're weighing that reward against a literal fraction of a second lol.

Does anyone else get promotional sms texts from ACR to the number they have on file?

"Yes, you really can turn a penny into a dream-come-true. Reply MONEYMAKER to find out how."

I don't, but you have the option to turn them off. Additionally, they tell you that they will be sending you such promotions in their terms. It's probably just the same marketing and promotional stuff you would get via email. Anyway, if you want to turn off that option, I believe you have to email them.

Oh this is so funny (couldn't stop laughing), though it actually shouldn't be.

That is sad. They only ripped you two off for 39 cents? Those bandits.

I got a buy-in back. It was from someone I never remembered playing.

If this is just the tip of the iceberg, I could get a fair chunk of change back from this. If it's just a one-time tranche they had in the backlog and it'll just trickle out from here, then still better than nothing I guess.

I have a new setup w/ 2 external monitors. When a new ACR table opens, it opens off the top left corner of one of the externals with only part of the new table visible. No way to move it back to a visible area. Anyone else have this issue and/or a fix?

Right-click on your desktop >> Display Settings There you can rearrange your displays and fix other monitor configurations.

I was just about to post on here about this. I received an email, but it was addressed to the wrong username so I don't know lol. It's interesting a few players have exactly $25,000 as the amount. I wish it would let me sort the list and see the most recent ones.

OH WOW. I made the list of people who got scammed lol. I saw XoryBur on there who I played 1/2 with sometimes. It says the amount was $23, but $5.24 cap? Does that mean that is the max they refund players? I don't believe I ever played a cap game with them.
Are they really trying to rake our refunds? Is that what I'm seeing lol

Got sent 69$ from someone I don't recognise and plays 41/16 and is losing. So I guess collusion?

Never played blitz and only played a few k hands.

Guys name was WOOK

So how do I get this backwards? Except for #1 which I already implied in my post as the only reason for running it twice is actually consistent with my argument.

Frustrating indeed.

Also, I only quickly looked at it, but when you click on your name you get a URL that provides a link to livestream the table, that shows all the players names and your hole cards in real time.

Seems like a pretty massive security leak, no?

That is a feature they promote: "The Railbird"
https://www.americascardroom.eu/soft.../the-railbird/ if the table is 80% full the screennames are visible. (No bumhunting)

But hole cards in real-time, no way.

I'm saying your framing is backwards. You spent an entire post downplaying the upsides of running it twice. But the upside of running it once is virtually nothing.

Let's say I write a post expounding on all the benefits of lighting money on fire and say "it won't cost you a lot of money so long as you stick to smaller bills." It doesn't matter how factually correct it is. The framing of the risk-reward is just fundamentally wrong.
