I did eventually receive the card and the $25 was taken from my account a couple of days after I received it ( you don't have to do anything, it is automatic but again there was no notification for me). That's my advice but you're welcome to take your business elsewhere, of course.
Hey thanks for this info. This gives me hope, I'll stick around. =D

With me they allowed the Visa for my initial deposit as well, then took it away. When I acquired about it, support told me that before any more Visa deposits I would need to send copies of the usual proof of identity and address. Quickly taken care of, and doing it was fine because I needed to because same rule applies to raise deposit maximums.
It is funny that they have no problem with an unsupported initial deposit.
First taste is always free right?

I contacted their live chat the next day and was told that my account was verified and it would take 5 business days to process the card thingy, then up to 15 days to get the card. But I have never received any emails since(not even automated ones) and they have not taken out the $25 from my account for the debit card either. Now when I contact live support, they tell me to send an email.....but lol...I never get a response from emails. And the ACR rep on this thread has ignored 2 of my posts asking for help. So....whatever. Think I may go try Black Chip Poker.
They took the $25 out of mine same day.

Not nearly as big. BBJ tables rake/contributed kills their ability to grow.

I've been playing on ACR since its first week, and its not a bad site. But they rake the living hell out of these tables. Especially since they introduced 'the beast.' And I'll make the rake up only because I'll finish in the top 10 of this points race. But if you were making 7BB/100 on Stars, you'll make less then 2BB/100 on ACR, or Merge for that matter. Regardless, the jackpots need to go.

+1

They need to get rid of these bbj tables the whole site is built around them.

Even if they cut the # of bbj tables in half and made them regular tables, that would help. A lot of the time that i want to play i dont just because i cant find a game thats not a bbj and i refuse to play on those.

could one of you guys post an example hand that shows how much rake is taken out of a regular hand. And then show how much would have been taken out if the same hand had been played on a bbj table?

I read the bbj page that acr has but im trying to put it into a percentage of rake taken with the regular vs bbj table.

Also am i wrong to assume that in general the regular tables prob has better players than the bbj tables? Seeing as most of the grinders arent wanting to rely on hoping to get lucky for the bbj. And if so would the difference in skill make it worth it to play in the bbj tables?

Anyone have thoughts on any of this?

It's my opinion that Bad Beat Jackpot tables will be more attractive to non - grinders/regulars. So having mostly BBJ tables will, overtime, draw in new players that are casual and not nitty sharks. Whereas if the site was mostly regular tables then we'd get a lot more 2+2ers and the likes joining ACR. Who wants that? lol

They are not BBJ only tables as a portion of them goes to a progressive race aka "The Beast", which in return makes it more juicy for grinders to play and earn part of that prize pool no matter if the BBJ hits or not.

Yes i understand that. That is also another positive for playing on those tables. But could you give me some insight into how much percent wise do you belive that adds up to in extra rake. What is the regular rake 5 percent? What would it be after the fees taken out on bbj tables like 8 percent?

I recently signed on my old windows computer and I liked the software and games offered. However I dont have any patience at all using that windows computer from 1990s. Im now on a mac and was wondering if ACR has any plays to make a mac client?

It depends what stakes. Its really hurts at lower stakes cause imagine at 25nl how many times a hand is done on the flop so the normal rake on say 2 dollars is 10 cents. Now they take anoter 25 cents. It's over 10% there. 50nl plus not as bad. I have everyone in the top 20 of the beast that grinds those stakes down money. I challenge someone to give me a name in the top 20 that is beating 25nl. However when the beast is over most will be up money for the month. And most would win if there was no bbj takeout. Most would crush if it was regular rake. So it might even be like 15% there.

When does the beast officially end? Example 12:00 eastern u.s่ time. Or Is it just over right at midnight wherever you are located? It's probably in the rules somewhere but If someone knows offhand?

I have not cashed out yet, but when I do, I would rather use my one free check a month than pay debit card fees. I don't even care if the check takes 2 or 3 weeks. I"m trying to do some serious bankroll building, so I'll probably start by taking out the minimum $100 a month (my wife would like to see some actual money coming into our bank account). If I can avoid the debit card fees (which could be a significant percentage of my withdrawal amount) and wait a while for the check, I'll take that deal.

But I've seen some posts about wait times for checks getting longer, and I believe that one person said he's been waiting a month.

What is the current maxium time for receiving a payout by check?
Cashouts via check can take from 7 -15 days under normal circumstances.

Yes, a one-time switch is allowed. If you've achieved the level that allows you to convert points for cash, yes.

Thanks for your response. Is there any way to know if I have achieved that level or even a way to estimate it? I see I need 750 RPs in a month but I have no way of knowing if I have achieved that. Also, since the month is ending... if I switch now will I have the same rank next month or will I have to earn it all over again?
