Why can't American players play at Pokerstars, but can play in other sites?

I would just like to get a sense of the options.

From what I understand some states have legal online poker. As it happens I live in NV and checked out WSOP.com. The games look awful.

Then there are offshore sites that allow Americans but I guess funding can be difficult. These include ACR and Ignition and some others I'm sure.

Any other categories I'm missing? Does Pokerstars have a segregated player pool for US players did I get that wrong?

Sorry for the newb question, seems like there must be a FAQ somewhere I'm missing.

You can find it here

https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/top...ink_source=app

Also, the apps like pokerbros, suprema, upoker, x-poker, pppoker, and private sites like Kings amd Crash for mostly Omaha and Mixed games. Crash has nose bleed stakes. Pokerrrr2 is an option but I personally have concerns about the model. Lots and lots of trust in people you don't know.

Kings PKR and Crash PKR are good for mixed games. Not saying it's soft but they definitely have variety.
PokerBros also seems to be adding an insane amount of mixed games and game variations recently which is nice.

X-poker players:
1. How are the mid to high stakes games?
2. Are cashouts pretty smooth, crypto or otherwise?
3. Anything else that we should know?

1. Depends in club. Some are very active others have none.

2. Agent/club based. Good ones should never take more than a day or so, normally. Some players want specific type and could take a little longer.

3. Same software as Upoker. Runs smooth, good animated loud emojis

Depending on game, other apps or private clubs might be better. Kings and Crash have some incredible PLO tables for HS and nose bleeds.

Hello,

I currently play on BetOnline, but notice the max I can table cash games is 4 tables at a time.

Are there any other websites that you would recommend where I can play more than 4?

Thanks

How do you join one of these clubs? I almost exclusively play omaha (and wouldnt mind some mixed games), and the US sites have been a big let down. Ignition was fine for omaha, but then they stopped allowing NY players so i've been trying to find a good replacement.

I haven't played online since 2016. Merge/Carbon was my goto site but the traffic kept getting worse and they started banning winning players. Bovada always sucked IMO because anonymous tables suck and are ripe for cheating. Black Chip Poker was a rock garden and the micros were as tough as live 5/10 IMO.

Have there been any improvements since then? I've always wanted Seals With Clubs to succeed but seems like the traffic is low. Global Poker seemed like it had potential but also seemed sketchy. Same for Poker Bros.

I live in Tennessee if that helps ... Any quick summary of online options would be great but I suspect it's still awful and I'll probably stick to my occasional trip to the casino once or twice a month or maybe home games if COVID ever gets better.

Where did you end up going? The anonymous thing is quite frustrating because you have no idea what kind of player you are up against, especially on zone?

Name the most fishy sites in your opinion and also with best rakeback offers.

I was playing on Pokerbros awhile back... last year.. won like five grand..
They still most fishy? Rake was high though ... at high stakes i was playing six bucks a hand or whatnot after my rakeback deal.

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

Trying to get some good opinions. Which site fishiest for tournies? Prob the same as the cash games.

hello everyone, idk if this is the right thread to ask, but in case someone knows it, my question is:

is it possible to play on Pokerstars.com in the Turks and Caicos islands?

Thanks so much for your replies

I've basically given up on online poker. I really thought by now there would be either legislation to open up to most of us playing OR there would be some creative solution like net sourced bitcoin poker app that couldn't be shut down or detected by law enforcement and would be easy to use.

I play live which I have to drive 2 hours to get to a poker room and I am looking into running an online home game using the PokerNow site combined with Venmo and CashApp. Unfortunately I have my doubts I can get enough of my home game players to go for it but we're going to try.

Honestly, I'm surprised too. As much as sports betting and casinos have proliferated around the country, I really thought there would be progress made with online poker. Not so much, and it's pretty discouraging.

ACR allows more than four, or you can have more than one site running if your CPU can handle it.

What is generally softer - Global or BOL? I can deposit on both but I'm curious as to what you folks would do if you could only deposit on one or the other.

Thanks

Why do you feel Global is sketchy?

I keep seeing all of the different sites that track cash game player's progress across all of the major (and even minor) ROW sites. What about for US players? Anything or one keeping track of what US cash game players are doing on sites like WPN or BOL? I'm aware of Sharkscope but, of course, that is tournament only. How does anyone know who the best US players are at any given time? I mean, if a US player went on some epic run like Linus, would anyone notice or know without them promoting their own results?
