I disagree w this…

Ignition/bovada is the only one of those sites I would recommend.

That and poker bros or some private apps.

I wouldn’t waste time on wpn and global.

Don't listen to people who advise to play on apps unless you want to end up getting scammed ...

FYI I made my first withdraw from ACR, they did it fast no stress no expectations. Of course I played a bunch of Russian Kids that obviously are running the numbers through GTO Wizard so don't expect the games to be soft.

so options for united states players right now?

ignition/bovada, acr, global poker, is that everything? i feel like im missing something, i just finally put some money back on global poker and the software is tiltingly bad on top of the lack of traffic, cash games are hella soft when they run.

thanks in advance for the responses.

does global poker have a download instead of playing in the broswer? that is going to get annoying if not

Have you played on these sites and how safe are they? 6 apps?
I've only tried BO in the past, though.

Yes. I play on Pokerbros, PPPoker, Upoker, x-poker, Suprema, ClubGG and lots of players in my discord and never had any issues. Pokerrrr2 is different model so have to really know the people behind it. I also play on Kings Club and Crash Poker and that's medium to nose bleed stakes. I personally know several players that have done well into 6 figures of business there.

Your risk, to be honest, is rogue agents. There have been a few shady club owners but most club owners are actually industry pros in some aspect and have far too much to lose if they play games. Some agents are grimy for sure. The danger, from my experience, comes from the ones operating on credit. They could have a fair amount of player funds and disappear. It has happened, cannot say it is common. I deal with 100s of pkayers and know of 3 or 4 people it has happened to unfortunately.

FWIW, I know of a player that had their GG Poker agent outright steal 11K of their money. It's not the app model, it's the integrity issue that some lack. My only personal issues have been when a player wants a very specific withdrawal that isn't available at that time. I've never encountered a single instance where money was just not sent and I'm in 22 clubs. There are also players that do shady stuff with reversing payments on those that work with PayPal or something.

Like any business, credible people are very concerned about their own reputation and protect it once it's earned. Replace poker club with garage/mechanic, some are just shady as hell and others fix mistakes they make at their cost.

Those days are done... I don't think they want to lose the playerbase they force to play where they want them(For instance ACR and Iggy don't have 2 NLz and the one has a 10 NLz but no 5 or 2 NLz ... Iggy has 25 NLz but I mean come on you have a massive website with many rooms!) These sites are sad ... I miss Stars, UB, FTP and about 8 or 9 other beautiful websites I could play on.

We got what we got. There are some new rooms coming out. A purely Bitcoin Site... Maybe they have HUs

Then you missed the golden age(s). The games are unforgettable.

I live in Washington state. It looks like Ignition is somehow legal in my state even though we have a state law against it? Is it because Ignition is web-based? I would love an explanation.

I'm looking to get back into online poker, is a VPN necessary since I am a WA resident?

Thanks to all that respond!

everygame also has hu but its only up to 200nl and the software is pretty old

blockchain.poker has hu but swc is the best choice imo

You live in one of the states where no poker sites are allowed. You can use a VPN and you can use an address elsewhere if caught your funds could be confiscated mind you. So a word of warning ...

Do you need an address in a legal state to play or is a VPN enough? I live in MA on the NH border. I can physically go to NH to place sports bets in person and online. Can I set up a poker account while physically located in NH and then play in MA?

It's perfectly legal for me to tell you this and perfectly legal for you to setup a VPN and give them an address in the other state if you can get one. They will almost certainly require you provide that address. Maybe a utility bill or state ID(of the state allowed) for that address which you can come up with and with the use of Crypto, it's hard to prove you ain't there buddy. But then again if the site catches you doing this in any way, they will and can often either close your account or confiscate your funds. So you take this risk and well, most of the sites don't care they want your deposit and rake. I'd put a kill switch on your VPN and don't get a cheap one that every other poker player uses. I would get a dedicated IP from your VPN. (look at what documents the site requires for proof location as they vary) I am very sad for you and for myself. We don't get to play in the Party Poker Millions :/

If you're a bigtime pro you can even have an address in Europe and play there but now you need bigtime money and you run a bigtime risk of losing that as well. :/ I'm sorry we Americans get screwed...

P.S. Using a VPN is against most if not all Poker Room Rules, and playing poker can be against State Rules. If there is any loophole if you love Poker best one is probably rent a bathroom from a friend in the other state :P for 50 bucks a month, first month is all that's required. *still they may want a State ID with the address or Utility bill with that address*

Maybe I'm missing something, but that sounds like terrible advice. I'm pretty sure the number of Americans who have been criminally charged for playing online poker remains the same - zero. If that's still the case, I can't imagine why someone would want to use a VPN and a fake address when the site will allow you to play from your home. Adds a real risk of the site confiscating your funds, and it doesn't change your culpability if a state suddenly decides they want to take the unprecedented step of prosecuting online poker players.

You're right, you just can't play on GG Poker, 888 Poker, Stars, etc... Unless you live in a place where it's accepted by the Site and State ...

ACR and BlackChip is a great site! It's got some modern qualities and you can play I think in 45 states there. The bonuses are good, the traffic is decent. There are 5 States or so that you can't play on there.

But as far as the Grade A Sites, no, you're not welcome in most of America on them.

And I thought Bobo's Dad got killed too easily in the Return of the Jedi!(they actually had an extended scene for that fight that got edited)

Why hasn’t stars, gg, 888 or even wsop expanded across all states after this huge news? Been complete radio silence from everyone?

Because every state will require a large cash bribe to have access to their citizens.

I mean large fee for a license to operate

I am guessing those states are making a hell of a lot more from their Education Lotteries. (state sanctioned gambling, with 0 skill)
