As far as I'm aware, the are no restrictions for Texas residents at any of the US friendly sites. Read the post linked in the previous post to learn more about those options.

It means that the websites for those sites indicate that they don't accept residents from those States.

It's possible that those location restrictions get lifted at some point, so it's always a good idea to check with the site itself to make sure. It could just be that their website information hasn't been updated recently.

You may have missed where it states in the OP: "If your state is not listed, then all networks are available to you."

My buddy lives in WA state and he recently deposited on ACR because he couldn't get Ignition to install for some reason. He ended up winning a tournament for $7k and when he tried to withdraw $6.5k via Bitcoin he got a pop-up message that says, "This gateway is not available due to some restrictions. Transaction Rejected. Please contact support at blah blah."

I told him to call the number and see what's up, but now I'm wondering if they might have rejected it due to the state he lives in. Although how can they accept his deposit but not process withdrawals? Maybe it's because his account is so new and they need to verify more details or something.

Anyway, thanks for the response.

Verification and if that new, probably has a rollover to deal with

Thanks. I just did a bit of reading and it seems like it could be because he hasn't generated 10% rake yet. (10% of his deposit amount) I'll ask if he accepted a deposit bonus as well.

Best place to play an online home game/private game (either cash or tourney/SNG but preferably cash) in the US? (for real money, outside of PA, NJ, DE, NV--i know PokerStars and 888 have home games there)

swcpoker? blockchain.poker? bluffave is just playmoney right? ACR can host private tourneys but you have to email them like 24 hours in advance.. whats the best site/app/platform/whatever for doing this where a bunch of people can play right now?

also whats a list of all crypto poker sites? not crypto deposit/withdraw option but crypto only
- swcpoker
- nitrogensports
- blockchain.poker
- virtue poker
- coinpoker
- is betcoin.ag still going?

shibes.poker died

Your crypto site list is probably pretty close to accurate. Not sure if you'll get better responses in here than if you would ask in a different thread like...

Bitcoin for online poker?

Setting up home games/private games is being discussed in...

Home poker game moving online during covid-19 outbreak. Advice needed...

I've skimmed this forum and this post particularly, but I just wanted to ask 3 quick questions:

1) Is Ignition SAFE?
2) What information will they ask me to provide?
3) Is it normal for these sites to ask for the last 4 digits of social security number?

How do you play on ACR while living in NV? Do you need an adress from another state? And what about bitcoin? Need to go from coinbase to a wallet?

I don't think ACR allows NV residents to play on their site. See the OP.

I'm in NY & have been looking at ACR/Bovado/etc
Do all these sites require tons of personal info?
I'm a bit leery of just handing over copies of my driver's license, passport, address, DOB, etc etc.

You should probably search for that info in their sub-forum.

1. You'd have to expand on what you mean by safe. If you're just asking if your funds are secure on the site then I think they will be. Their network has been in business for about 2 decades and not paying out has never been a major issue with them. If you're hesitant then just make a small deposit until you feel more comfortable.

2. Most of the initial information they request is just the standard stuff any online website asks for when you make an account. If you're making withdrawals then they may request some form of identification and a recent utility bill.

3. I don't think that's a normal request from unregulated poker sites, but it might be something that regulated sites are required to ask for. I'm not sure.

Most unregulated poker site websites state that they do not accept players located in Nevada, but you can contact the website directly to make sure.

For crypto deposits always go Bank > Exchange > 3rd party wallet > Website and then do that in reverse for withdrawals.

Most regular sites require you to give them some level of identification. A form of ID and a recent utility bill is usually requested at some point, especially if you make frequent withdrawals. If they didn't do this then players banned for cheating or charge-backs would have a much easier time returning.

You probably don't need to provide very much, if any, personal information for most of the crypto sites and app clubs.

Yes. You might need the additional purchase of a hand grabber/card catcher for some of them, like PT4 or HM2/3, to work there. For Mac, you might need to purchase a virtual machine, like Parallels, for some of them to work.

As Mike mentioned, it's best to ask specific questions about different sites and networks in their sponsored forums or dedicated threads in the future.

Thanks a bunch
I managed to do some research, and DriveHUD seems to work, and its gonna cost me less then getting the Hand Catcher.
I got paralels too

My recent experience in getting back online for what it's worth, for others who are likely facing the same situation. I was active online until Black Friday, stopped for a bit after that, then have been quite active live since we got our own casino in 2012. BTW I'm in Ohio.

- Started with bovada as my platform, I had an old bodog account I was able to reactivate, but I suspect starting a new account is no hassle.
- Went to coinbase to get bitcoin. That took some doing. It all works and is clearly spelled out, just takes jumping through a few hoops and waiting a week + to be able to transition your money off of coinbase. Also have to get it properly interfacing with your bank, which took a bit of time (they had to make two small deposits, you verify amounts back to CB, etc.). Frustrating to wait, but worked out.
- Based on advice here, set up blockchain as intermediary. Took literally 30 seconds to create this account.
- Bitcoin finally available for transfer from coinbase, so I did a test of CB - BC - Bov with a small amount first, it worked so I did the larger transfer. Each transition probably took about an hour from off of coinbase to showing in bovada. There are a few nerve-wracking moments (for us newbies at this) when your money is showing up in none of the accounts, but that's normal.

Overall: takes a while, but with some googling and advice on here or from someone you know how has done it before, doesn't seem like something anyone can't do if they set their mind to it.

Transitioning from 6-max to HU and wondering:

1. Who actually offers HUNLH (Ignition, ACR, clubs like ppp, pokerbros, etc).
2. Where are you finding the softest games?

Thank you!

Kind of, I'm not a SNG guy so others can correct my accuracy if I'm wrong...

WPN has On Demands that run pretty much 24/7 for NLHE and PLO8. They start once enough players register (4 for O8, 7 for NLHE), and then there is half an hour of late reg. WPN has a weekly race called Sit N Crush that you'll want to look into if you're going to grind these.

I think the best bet for people in the US is to play on Pokerbros or one of those sites until it becomes legal. (Hopefully, soon!) It is alot easier to buy in and cash out with Pokerbros.

Easiest way to get ripped off is using one of those apps.
