I haven't played in a few years and am just seeing what's going on.

Betonline vs ACR. What's the consensus if there is one?

Has online poker gotten to the point where it's too hard to beat?

Any info advice? I'm thinking of depositing a couple grand on a site.

Thanks really appreciate it.

I've got the same questions.

But, I'd like to include Ignition in the candidates that pique my interest.

Bet Online seems to have smoother software/less crashes

ACR has far bigger MTT GTDs, many more tournaments.

Both sites are easy to move money on amd off, both sites have battles with bot issues, both sites have all the typical issues most sites have.

Read the post linked below. It needs a little updating, but most of the information is still correct. If you still have questions then feel free to ask here or in the dedicated site threads.

I prefer BetOnline/Chico for the software stability, but ACR/WPN does have some things that make it more attractive to a lot of players. ACR/WPN have much bigger MTT GTDS and easy to get rakeback and high volume rewards. The games are probably a little softer on average at BOL/Chico.

The games have gotten a little tougher over the years, but they're certainly still beatable if you put the work in. The games at all sites are bit softer than usual right now due to so many people being stuck at home.

I replied to the private message you sent me earlier today.

If you prefer or like the idea of anonymous games then Ignition/Bovada is definitely an option. Their software is not very good, but the games tend be softer than at the other two networks.

Anyone else having problems with Bovada? It just keeps asking me to login over and over again.

Back online due to Covid-19. Is ignition same as Bovada? Thoughts on Bovada/ignition? (Assuming they’re the same) does global poker take bitcoin and is global or Bovada/ignition softer?

Thanks and sorry if Q’s r redundant

Bovada and Ignition same network.

Global does not take bitcoin.

All three networks comparable

My thoughts are the Ignition/Bovada software sucks, but the games are pretty soft if you can keep a stable connection there. Probably not a great amount of difference in game toughness versus Global Poker.

What's the proper protocol for BTC deposits these days? Is it ok to go directly form bank to exchange to poker site?

Best not to do that. Exchanges have been known to close accounts if you go directly to the site from them.

For deposits go Bank > Buy on exchange > 3rd party wallet > Site and then do the exact opposite for withdrawals.

To play the WSOP network of NV/NJ/DE, you just need to be physically present in one of the states.

I was rather young back then, still in college. I didn't have any experience working and now that I've joined the workforce and gotten some experience a part of me yearns for those days and the freedom that the poker life allowed me - no commute, set own hours, general enjoyment of job, etc.

I never expected the poker ban to last as long as it has. And I was just wondering with things being the way they are - casino's shut down indefinitely because of Corona - is there any bright light at the end of the tunnel to seeing online poker restored?

I live in NYC. Can't move to Jersey just to play poker online. I've got a life in the city - GF, apartment lease, etc.

I was wondering if anybody here plays poker online in NYC. If so, what set up do you use? T

I know there's not going to be anything like FTP back in the day but I'm looking for a place where I could multi-table smaller SnG's at any time of day and not have an issue cashing out when I want.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Have an awesome day.

Bet Online. Bovada, Global Poker. WinngPokerNetwork.

Not sure how you could have missed any of those doing any kind of search.

ACR has a good MTT structure. They aren't all the same though, so it takes some time to understand the different structures, but I like every tourney basically being a rebuy w/out the add-on.

What I don't see a lot of talk about is their reward system. I think it's great program and surprised I was able to cash in points for $ so soon.

Hey,

So I've been doing some research trying to find out which site is the best for me and I downloaded clients for Americas Cardroom and BOL.

I tabled some low stakes SnGs on AmericasCardroom and saw something weird happen one hand - the turn card glitched out and never animated and the hand continued to showdown. Does that happen often? If you're playing in the game would the dealer's actions appear in the chat? So that you could still know what card it is if that happened.

I was unable to get onto the BOL poker lobby for some reason. I didn't want to deposit money yet and I registered with an e-mail but no username. I'm gonna keep trying.

From what I've read, and this could be totally wrong, Americas Cardroom has the biggest player pool, is this correct? I noticed a new SnG would start there every 10 minutes or so but I wasn't sure if that's just because I checked early in the AM. Is that about accurate?

Basically, I just want to get back into grinding low level SnG's, something I haven't done since Black Friday. But I'd be into low level cash as well. Which client would be the best for someone like me?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you.

I haven't heard anything before about the missing card glitch at ACR. You could check to see if somebody else has in the thread dedicated to the WPN sites. I know they did a major software change about a year ago and there has been several bugs. Most of them seemed to have been improved, but it appears that there are still a few bugs left that need to be addressed.

I doubt you'd be able to check out the BetOnline software without making a username. You might even need to make a small deposit first. The software there is more stable and has fewer issues than ACR/the WPN.

If you're going to put in a lot of volume in SNGs then I'd think that ACR/the WPN would be your best option since they offer straightforward rakeback directly to your account, along with high volume rewards. I imagine the SNG community at BetOnline/the Chico Network is significantly smaller.

I think it's still thought that Bovada/Ignition has the most total players for US friendly networks, but it's hard to verify that since the games there are anonymous and the network doesn't publicly disclose that information anywhere. It's possible that the WPN has taken over the top spot at some point. The WPN does offer the biggest MTT guarantees. I'm not sure if anybody could tell you for sure if they don't have some contacts at Bovada/Ignition.

Hi all, apologies if this question has already been asked. I'm in Texas, and when I google "can you play online poker in Texas", I get a lot of hits that say "yes". However, the first page in this thread doesn't mention Texas at all. Is Texas a no-go with any legit online poker places?

I just withdrawaled money to skrill from globalpoker to find I can't link it to a US bank account. Is there anyway to move this money to another site or buy gift cards or anything?

I read that post and it mentions that ACR has site restrictions for a few states. Do you know what those restrictions are, exactly?
