Besides: If you can manage to beat the online game (many are), it's only going to make your live game much better.
That's pretty much what I thought when I was playing on PokerStars, everything froze, and I was looking at an FBI logo on my computer. Players on Full Tilt had their money tied up for over a year.
Regarding your statement about how easy it is to take money off a site, well that depends on the site. For example, the first withdrawal on Juicy Stakes Poker comes with a $250 fee. If you have a $1,000 bankroll online and you want to take any amount out, $250 is deducted. Future withdrawals require paying a certain amount of rake in one calendar month, or you pay another $250 for each withdrawal.
A couple weeks ago I did the math on what that month would look like for a micro tournament player. It might take playing every available $1 to $5 turbo SNG for a month, any time of day or night (very small player pool) or multi-tabling, or both, to pay enough rake to avoid the $250 withdrawal fee.
