The real onces, like mercier, merson, etc, moved outside the country to continue their careers. Canada is a good spot to go to since you can play on Pokerstars and it's still close to home.

The "real ones?" Are you implying that someone who's sole source of income is from online poker, who happens to reside in the USA, is not a "professional?" Because I will debate that with you. Making 6 figures a year is entirely possible in this market. I know guys making a quarter milly per year...

P.S. I moved to play abroad.
P.S.S. I'd play any and all of the US sites before I played PokerStars, it sucks for anything but MTTs...

We can have that debate at a later date. So you're originally American?

I resided in the USA when UIGEA was passed and moved abroad. I later returned only to move abroad again post-Black Friday. Feel free to ask me anything you like. However, if it doesn't pertain to the general theme and topic of this thread, please PM me instead.

Hi, I'm a U.S. player waiting for my Carbon funds to arrive (most of my bankroll) and looking to deposit $1,000 to $1,500 on a site in the meantime to grind out a bonus at 25 and 50NL. I have accounts at ACR and Bovada already, and when my Carbon funds arrive, I plan to deposit on BetOnline. Is Full Flush my best bet? Or would Juicy Stakes be better?

Full flush or juicy? That's a good one. But if it's 1k-1.5k your going to deposit , I might lean towards juicy. Not so much for the bonus side, but for the cashout side.

I would say it depends on how important traffic and game selection is to you compared to cash out speed. 20nl has pretty bad traffic on juicy, but 50nl is a bit better

I wouldn't want to deposit $1,500 and jump right into 50NL if there aren't many games from which to select. So, if the traffic at lower stakes isn't there at Juicy, I guess Full Flush is the only option at the moment.

Bet dsi is the best .

"It's only a game, till you bet it"

That slogan makes me cream.

There's BCP, ACR, ******, BKR, true poker, I've wasted alot of time and money on their network. I'm a loser, take my word.

Every operator on the network uses the exact same software.

I don't know what that means Khan. Doesn't each "skin" of WPN have it's own playerbase and such? Else what would be the point?

I'm asking about differences in the playerbase and such

It's the same software and the same playerbase.

They have reps at the link Mike Haven provided to whom you can ask any specific questions.

The title of the forum, which I assumed you'd see, is "Winning Poker Network Sponsored Support forum for AmericasCardroom, BlackChip Poker, and Truepoker", else I wouldn't have answered your question.

Interesting, then why do they have so many names for the same software and different places to download it? Doesn't make sense to me.

Well like I said, I'm aware there are several "skins" of WPN. The title of the forum confirms that. But it does not tell me which of the "skins" are best / most popular. And I don't see any places to look in on and around that forum to get my answer.

I'm obviously not understanding the concept of skins / software / networks / etc. Linking me to their forum with no helpful stickied threads really doesn't do much.

I'm curious how you judge popularity if not by the playerbase. Hmmmmm?

Sometimes the skins themselves are owned by different people. PokerHost is on WPN but PH is owned separately.

Skins might be purchases from previous owners. BlackChip Poker had different owners when they were on the Merge Network; WPN bought BlackChip but kept it as a separate skin.

Oh ok. So I can access the exact same tables through any skin? The only difference is the looks?

I guess that clears that up, but still seems funny to me. I don't know what WPN gains by having so many different appearances to the same tables... why not have one piece of software where you can pick how you like your appearance and be done?

Thanks

If you're not prepared to read over and digest hundreds of players' reasons for thinking certain skins are best / most popular, are you expecting someone else to have done that, and that the few people that will answer your question directly are those people and are correct in their interpretations?

Please spend the next few days reading past posts in this, and that, thread, and decide for yourself which are the best / most popular, and whether or not you should agree with the authors' reasons for their recommendations.

This makes more sense now that I know what a skin really is... you gotta understand that at first I thought they were different softwares with different playerbases, therefor it would be a pretty easy answer and that link wouldn't have helped me much. Thanks anyways.

All the skins owned by the network (Americas Cardroom, Ya Poker, Black Chip Poker, True Poker) share the same staff/cashier/promotions/tables/bonuses/vip/rakeback/player pool/etc. The only difference is that True Poker doesn't allow heads up tables > $200 buyin, the rest are identical.

3rd party skins may or may not have access to all the tables, use different cashiers, and may opt out of certain promos, tournaments, etc.
