I play one table at a time, right now micro sit n go's.

Looking for the best site that has the most reliable software, prompt payments, and decent action.

Is there any site recommended that has all 3?

Merge has the best software (Carbon, Aced, PokerHost).

Of those 3, PokerHost has the fastest cashier, however no free withdrawals which could deter you as a microstakes player. Carbon/Aced avg'd 18.62 days last month on checks with 1 free/month.

You should be able to get action for micro SNGs on virtually any US facing site. The WPN, Bovada, and Intertops all have excellent cashiers, though lower quality software.

Playing NL4 (NL5), NL10 6-max I want to tell my opinion on the current situation (may be it is different for the higher limits or another games).
1. Bovada - the main problem with this room is that they have anonymous tables so I'm not able to use any HUDs, stats... etc. which I consider are needed in modern online poker.
2. WPN - not bad but I'm not sure if the payout terms are appropriate.
3. Intertops - there is no possibility to get an invitation for a novice player like me.
4. Carbon - the only room where I keep all my bankroll. Seems like the most balanced (traffic/withdrawal terms) place (IMHO) to play in my case.
May be my post will be useful for micro/mid grinders.

Americas Cardroom on the WPN now let's you get your rake back daily put into your account. Daily is pretty darn cool! IMO, WPN FTW!

Every US player should be playing some bitcoin poker on seals with clubs imo. I just found it and compared to merge/bovada/whatever, its amazing. Even if bitcoin is risky, its gone up over the past 3 years, so seems like a good investment, and you don't have to risk much, you can buy partial bit coins. I'm really almost done with merge, 2 months for a check??? compared to like 8 hours for a bitcoin cashout, hmmm. So many more places are accepting bitcoin too. I wish I got in on it 3 years ago, but its never too late.

I only just bought 1/10th of a bitcoin but it was super easy and lets me grind some 10nl. I usually like to play 50 and 100nl but I wanna make sure the site is legit, but so far it seems that way. I'm just giving a good review here because I really like it so far and I really obviously want to encourage others to join.

downsides I see so far: its not pretty like stars or super user friendly. you can't cascade tables that I see. I don't know if I can use my poker tracker for it. Theres no pot button you have to type in your bets. Theres not a ton of games at each level. I don't understand the tournament registration process yet. The lobby is pretty confusing. Its pretty crappy software aesthetically, but functionally its smooth.

But despite all this downside, all that matters to me is the speed of the transaction. I'm just so sick of getting screwed over the past 3-4 years with slow cashouts, or no cashouts. I also really like the idea behind bitcoin and I pretty much believe in it, but I don't know what it all means, or if it can crash or how crazy the fluctuations will continue to be, but it seems like a good risk.

Anyway sorry for long post, I wanted to be thorough because I'm not sure If I like the site or not and wanted to give an honest opinion. I really do want a lot of people to join though, but thats how I felt about Merge when I played there, and really, i hate merge

1) There is a legal HUD for Bovada

2) "payout terms are appropriate"? --- Not sure what that means exactly. Could you explain with a bit more detail?

3) That is an unfortunate problem. You basically have to know someone willing to vouch for you.

Just added this feature the 2nd week of December and yes, it's a great idea!

WPN is, at this point, the best network for US players IMO. The traffic is shooting through the roof lately and promotions like the 15 Days of Christmas and the new Sit and Crush are really, really cool. The software is getting smooth and stable with each new update, as well.

Can someone tell me how Juicy stakes is vs Intertops? They both have very quick cash outs right?

Yes they do. JS limits max cashout amount as well as charges $100 per check as opposed to Tops's $50 fee. Intertops is the superior option, assuming you can get an invitation.

Already have a Tops account. Guess Tops is the better deal.

If you're only playing one table at a time, software is probably the least of your concerns. Traffic probably isn't that big of a deal either. Look for speed and reliability in cashouts. Just my 2 cents.

ACR, True and BCP all use the exact same software. As well as any of the ROW skins. Same network, same software.

Thanks for your response, Kahn.

1. Yes I've found out that there is a HUD for Bovada but does it help a lot at anonymous tables? So it is useful for one session only - right?

2. I meant that the payouts take more or less reasonable time.

3. Yes I've got it so will try to find someone here to help me.

  1. Yes, one session at a time. I find it quite useful, but to each their own.
  2. There are quite a few US sites that pay in 3 weeks or less by check, 1-5 days for cash, and others with more exotic methods.

Can we get an update to this sticky that reflects the current NJ, NV, and DE statuses? This sticky has been helpful since black friday, no reason to stop it now.

I see on several websites, Juicy stakes now restricts players from a few states. I'm from Washington but I've had an account for a few years, first with Cake then was moved over to JS w/ the rest of the un-free Americans. Can anyone tell me if I'll be grandfathered in? I haven't got any messages yet saying I can't play there. If you'll excuse me, I need to go sign up for Obama-care as I am told if I don't comply I'll be fined!! The land of the free huh??

Thanks in advance for any info provided!

You should be grandfathered in.

You could always try asking support, though if you can log in still, that's typically proof enough.

Hi - Im thinking of creating my first poker account since BF. Looks like Merge and Bovada might be the way to go. Here's the thing. I've never used a HUD. Is there a thread or something that explains how to install and use a HUD on either of those sites?

I appreciate the help but honestly its a little overwhelming. Could you point me specifically to where I need to go to get started lets say on Carbon Poker. I suck at software/computers but i figure I need some software in todays online world more then ever.

thanks.

It is all a little overwhelming when you first start out, for sure - get used to it! I know I did a tonne of reading when I first started at online poker.

You have to have heard of Poker Tracker and Hold'em Manager, haven't you? There are sticky threads for both products in the first forum I linked you to.

Can we get a list of freeroll/subscription sites? I never thought I'd say it, but I miss Liveace. While the games weren't perfect, I could at least get experience with Omaha against some reasonably decent players. I've tried pureplay and it's like playing Zynga. Every hand seems to be an all-in bingo-fest. LiveAce should have helped my Omaha game, at least some, whereas the other sites I can find that are freeroll type sites are absurdly pathetic. Suggestions welcome!
