Hi Andrew

I was living in the U.K but moved to Sweden ( I am Australian) and signed up for an account via the UK platform as the Swedish platform was not in English.

I deposited money and was required to submit documents which is fine. The problem I have is I no longer have a U.K bank account and I am unable to provide any details of my U.K address as I don't have any..

Customer service are advising me to submit the documents which I cannot do and are basically saying the money will lie dormant. I have suggested they donate the money to WWF and have heard nothing back?

Obviously I don't want to donate the money to Unitbet (no offense) but I would prefer to have the account closed down and my simple wish honored.

Can this be looked into?

Cheers

Unibet english support is so bad. I don't have any problem with my native language support (finnish). They are always polite and get problems sorted which i can't say from English support.

Unibet has lot to learn about customer service. You can't just close people accounts and froze their money without any explanation. Even Pokerstars explains why your account is closed. And those kind of messages which your support sends to example CanisMajoris saying "Have a great day!" is just annoying.

Sorry for my bad English.

This is more than bad customer service, this is criminal behavior. And as for "Have a great day", that is much more than rude. How can someone from who you stole thousands of euros have a nice day? Especially, when you didnt want to say a single word why that happened, just said that it is irrevocable. I feel like I was robbed and left with a card just to provoke me (like Joker does). It is insulting and no one can tell me it wasnt intentional because this behavior repeated on every instance I tried to communicate.

I will definetely pay close attention to how this matter is solved. I lost thousands in the summer of -09 in the Eurolinx/Betonbet bust so I´m a bit more paranoid nowadays.
I´ve had the impression that Unibet is one of the more reliable sites out there so it´s hard to believe they would do something like this for no reason.

Anyway, hopefully things will get resolved.

I don't know what "crime" you have done, but in their point of view you have done something which is againts their tos. Anyway at least they should explain you what you have done which violates their tos.

Yep thats the beauty of runnig the site. You can allways go behind the tos site created. Im interested allso how this turns out. Used it for years and never had any issues whatsoever. Oc I'm not a pro bettor so I don't really suffer from the betting limits or using bettor moves to determine right odds.

Hi Andrew,

Can you please extend my soonest expiring 3x€50 UO and 1x 25UK
Alias: RK_95
Thanks in advance!
Did you already heared something about the chips with the old logo I asked about in my last post? Do you know if it is possible that CS can see which tickets expiring the soonest? Because they keep picking the new ones, so my bigger tickets expire if I dont ask you to extend them.

Dont think unibet is leaving empty office even the poker would be on the negative side. http://calvinayre.com/2016/02/10/bus...-year-results/

Post to Unibet community, there is always helping moderators who can help you to get things sorted out. If you don't have done anything wrong things get sorted out sooner or later.

Its easy to say chill out, but I got my account blocked with significant amount on it 2 weeks ago and got no real response, just some horrible stuff. Believe me when I say it is very unpleasant. Even if everything works out fine, these two weeks were very frustrating to me...

Of course I can imagine it's a stressful situation for you...
But you don't have to act like Unibet is gonna go and black-friday us all.

I really cant believe that in all this situation you are asking me to chill out and that you look at all this from that angle. Even if everything resolves perfectly, what they are doing is outrageous. Have you read the posts I wrote, have you seen images from the chat and mails? Closing account without any explanation whatsoever, not providing any info, not answering mails, and other awful things... I guess you would understand only if it happened to you, which is so sad. Me personally, when I hear things like this happen to someone else, I feel great injustice, I feel so small and helpless... They can do whatever they want... All we can do is spend countless hours and energy (I cant describe how unwell I feel for the last 15 days, I had a fever for the first 2 days), and hope some of the injustice will be undone. But, I know, life is unfair...

I don't think that they will do that to us all.

It's worrying though that on SBR there is a pattern of closing individual accounts and confiscating funds without giving explanations because "read the ToC and weep" - presumably such funds are simply added to profits. I can only hope the reason why we haven't heard from Andrew so far is that he is investigating this properly.

@CanisMajor - can I ask if you were also sportsbetting or just poker? it occurs to me that this might be being done to winning sportbettors - which is bad but not much to do with us as poker players.

Winning sports bettors are regularly banned or very limited in their actions on other sites / networks fwiw.

Andrew doesn't seem to have been ITT this week already.

^ That's true, which is why I would mind less. Confiscating the funds is bad if that's the reason though.

Unibet is big and respected company, they didn't become respected because they were closing accounts with no reason and stealing money.

So if you haven't done any shady things or break t&c I'm sure everything will be ok.

I understand your frustration if you're legit, but they also need to protect themselves, because there is lot of fraud attempts from "new" players.

I only play poker and omaha, but I received some bonus offer for free sport bets so I made a couple 5 euro bets.

I completely disagree, you say that if they unblock my account and give me back my money, everything is ok. But it isnt. Have you seen the conversation I had with Unibet, their approach (not answering mails, not providing any info about problem)? Even criminals, who know what they have done, when arrested hear: you are arrested for this and that...
I didnt mention all the problems I had and things I couldnt do because not having my money (i wanted to go on a vacation, also promised a friend I will lend him some money). And I mentioned the agony I went through these couple weeks... Even if everything works perfectly from this moment, it is not ok, its far from that. Obviously you would understand only if it happened to you, which is, I have to say again, so sad... But, as you said, everything will be ok.
