Hi,
Thanks for your reply.

For what it's worth I have been requested by other poker sites this exact same paper "that doesn't exist" or how they formulated it "Proof of ownership for the account used", twice.
I am not sure if this is the same. I was asked for proof of ownership of a single debit card I had months prior to my current one, not a proof of ownership of an entire bank account.

Probably because I've changed my bank accounts a couple of times because of fees I didn't know about, or maybe because of my nationality. First time was similar to your experience, the bank people were confused and didn't know what I wanted so they offered me a paper and told me to come back if it's not what I needed. It wasn't, and when I came back with more explanations they gave me what I needed.
Which bank were you with?
I spoke to 3 different cashiers at 2 different branches of Barclays who also asked all their colleagues and branch managers all of whom said they have never heard of this and do not offer it. Head office also did not give me this after 28 minutes on the phone to them and me having to make an official complaint against the bank.

My second time having to provide this paper was last year with another bank, and surprisingly, they knew exactly what I needed and what they gave me was basically a computer typed letter format document with my name and address and and bank account details saying Dear Mr. X According to your request we inform you that you are the owner of the account ... opened on ... at ... . Then the bank details, then thank you for bla bla then the name and signature of the bank operator that helped me and the stamp.
Happy that they were able to assist you. Again maybe it is different for proof of ownership of a bank account and a debit card from months ago that you lost. I think it probably would be easier to get proof of an entire bank account than an old lost card.

Also the first time I tried to skip the bank trip by sending "proof" from my homebank account that looked very much like what you posted in your thread just without the stamp. They did not accept it. Seems like it's pretty standard procedure for gambling sites, banks however seem to have quite different policies.
I did not do this. I spent an insane amount of hours driving too and from the bank and at the library scanning documents. I don't even have anywhere in my online banking that allows me to get these documents and how would I of got the bank stamp on it? Why would I bother printing something out at home to then take to the bank and ask them to stamp it when I obviously would just go to the bank to ask them for it?
I would be no where near as angry if I didn't spend so much time driving all over the place and waiting in line at the bank multiple times for them to tell me they can't do it.
