I think leaderboards still have a place but you have to create a formula that levels the playing field between someone that plays 1000 SnG a month and someone that plays 50. Win/cash percentage could be taken into account but that benefits the players the play less SnG ultimately.
It is true that the point of promos is to get players to play more often. However, there is a difference between a leaderboard where a rec has no chance of getting top 250 playing a few games a week to where they could have at least a chance of spinning in an extra win or gaining some extra points to help them achieve a higher challenge tier.

The SNG battle leaderboard did try and level the playing field a little bit through giving people points based off things that happened in game such as hitting straight flush. Its a rare instance though so it still ended up more advantageous to regulars.

Another promo idea:

Lifeline - A player gets a buyin back if they get less than a certain amount of points every 10 games. This is totally flipped towards recs but still pays grinders on their downswing. The buyin given back will be rounded up or down to the players average buyin for the 10 game set. Will help liquidity by awarding the tickets for SNGs. dunno bout the name but yeah

About promotions, I'm not so much of a fan of opaque ones that work on the principle of "we'll tell you when/how much your mystery prize is", we also don't want straight rakeback / leaderboards either. A good balance was the ones in the autumn where there is a leaderboard but it works on the basis of who hits the most straight flushes during the week. Hitting hands over the table is random, but it's a much more visible form of random than golden SNGs etc.

If we want to have rec-friendly one, how about a leaderboard where they only count your first 100 SNGs of the month?

Can Canadians play poker on Unibet? Also, are deposits and cash outs processed quickly? Would use credit card or bank transfer to fund account and make withdrawals.

No problem.

I have a US dollar account that I use for the back and forth to avoid currency exchange issues (and because I have need for US dollar banking in my business life). It costs nothing to set up, can be no fee, and probably makes life easier and more efficient if you want to play poker online.

Been playing here since late Jan of this year.

I can't speak on cashouts, but my deposit did get in fairly quickly

Thanks for the quick reply. Can anyone comment on the traffic at NL10, 25, and 50? Just wondering if games are running around the clock and if there is a decent reg to fish ratio.

Yes they did. I had played many flops with my Banzai 5e ticket. Ticket current value was increased to 38e. They changed a ticket to a bonus (only 5e). Poor change for me

I only really know about 10NL

Middle of the day (ie around now) it's usually a ton of traffic and a decent fish:reg ratio

Around midnight though it can get pretty dead at 10NL

Is unibet planning to try to increase banzai traffic, or is it just a gimmick? Any banzai promos in the future, etc?

Ye this has been going on since the pokerstars rake changes. They ****ed up pokerstars and now continue somewhere else

You can also see this with the amount of pages this thread has gained since then with change X to bonus Biggest problem is the high rakeback unibet has for mass grinders atm compared to stars.

I am not saying games are bad put compared to 2014 its a 3bet fiesta now

Its not a very big problem but the difference is huge compared to when the site launched back in 2014

If you can operate when some part of Europe is awake, there is plenty of traffic at all stakes up to 50NL. (50NL goes a bit quiet after midnight in Western Europe, but I've never seen less than 35 active players at that level at that time of night. It's 23:25 in the UK as I type and there are 83 seats taken in the 50NL pool, but I think a milestone hand just happened which always causes a boost.)
The reg:rec ratio is better than on any site I've ever played on, but it will no doubt get "worse" as more people jump off the sinking ships that are rival sites.

also at NL10, and NL25.
you may not notice it easily because of all these different aliases every day, but the gameplay is the same.
I'd say right now its 60-70% regs at the tables, depending on time of day/night.

As others say, the situation today is much worse than just a year back.
And current promo just highlights the problem when you see all these tables getting empty after milestone hand is dealt. i think its bad.

btw I can only assume that it's even worse at higher limits...
