Understandable but you could also add the sngs to the bootcamp promotion which is not a big effort with some tasks a la "play x sngs", "win x sngs", "bust pout x player" etc.
Or make an extra leaderboard with 5k or something like that

We're having a server restarted on Monday 28th from 04:00 to 05:00 UTC, this is for the small server side patch we're adding that month for promos/missions/etc. There was no need for a client release this time.

We've talked about this a bit and it's something we definitely plan to offer at some stage. It's hard to say when we'll do it though, because it'll probably reduce existing NLHE SNG & cash game PLO traffic.

I've said a few times in this thread that I'm interested in targeting PLO more than we currently do. We include it promos, often with better rewards than for NLHE, and the game has grown faster than NLHE has for us. But most sites don't do anything for it at all, and it seems like we should be able to capture a bigger share of that market.

I'd love to have this, but it's looking increasingly unlikely in the medium term. In the long term it should be viable, but it takes a lot of work. The problem as I understand it is that Adobe Air is a slow program, and we can't get tablet multitabling to work with it due to system constraints.

Two years ago - i.e. 6 months before we launched - I wrote specs for our version of Expresso, the original version of this format. The benefit of it is that it's fun.

The problem is that it's super high variance, and when people win they simply withdraw. That makes it bad for the ecology because weak players lose all the time, and when someone actually wins, the money leaves the system immediately.

There're also chronic problems with software aids for it - knowing population tendencies and/or specific player tendencies due to datamining is a huge flaw.

So if we do it, we need ways around these problems. We'd need to offer something better than our competitors, and that doesn't have the same flaws. It's perfect for mobile play, but the super high variance sucks. So in short, maybe, if we can solve these problems.

Active bonuses keep going. This is why a lot of the top end of Challenges pays out playthrough bonuses.

By paying out rewards in bonuses that people will be playing through the following quarter, we keep people after the quarter ends and we reward actual loyalty rather than skipping from site to site for promos/affiliate deals/etc.

You may think it's no effort, but that isn't the case. It requires development work, and that is planned at least two weeks in advance. We can't just throw away the plans and start over again, not without a super-emergency.

Ok but you don`t find that it would be good to include SNGs in such kind of promotions? Other than the development effort I can`t see why this is a specific cash game promotion e.g.
I like your site but sometimes you restrict promotions to a kind of game when they could be used universal. Are Sng giving you too small of a profit overall to consider them in these kind of promotions?

SNG aren't included because it was easier to make the promo that way. Promos need to be simple and understandable too - people have to understand what is going on without having to read 20 pages of text.

Thanks. That's pretty much my aim, but to a large degree it depends on internal Unibet stuff. We're still a small percentage of the company, even if we are growing faster than the other products. The problem is that if we're ~5% of the company, it's hard for me to get marketing people etc. to spend time on us. We need that if we are to grow that fast, as our limiting factor right now is how many new players we can acquire.

On January 1st you're going to acquire a lot more customers... albeit maybe not the type that Unibet wants.

I imagine we'll get a few, but I don't think we'll be the number one destination for ex SN/SNE players. As you say, they aren't our target audience though, so we won't be pushing to acquire them.

Cannes feedback: After being knocked out, i was taken to cashier for winnings by one of the dealers. Although she was nice and friendly she had no answers to anything i asked. She was more concerned about tips for dealers as was the cashier. I do not mind the dealer mentioning tips but it is out of place for the cashier as there may be many people around cashdesk. I would have thought it beneficial for pr purpose that a winner is accompanied by a member of Unibet staff.
New players to live events seem to struggle a little too much. It must be horrendously difficult with so many nationalities. Maybe a demo table at a live event manned by a unibet staff (hopefully regulations permitting as no monies involved) or an online demo table.

I think I've found a little mistake in the bonus program.

when we unluck a reward by gaining the amount of points we get a message in the notification center with "you received x SNG/MTT/.. ticket.

Last week I've gained enough points for the first 8€ reward but I didn't receive a notification.
