I can't check as the guy who set the odds is on holiday until Tue. It's set by odds rather than by saying "ok, we need to give out a package today", so it's possible that none will be awarded. I prefer that we give some out though because I want that player to do well in the actual final so we can use the story.

Yes, it might've been. I think Prize Drop worked to drive traffic, so maybe some of that was nitty. I can't check this until Tue though. I think it worked as a promo otherwise though, and I think we can make quite a few improvements. We'll maybe do it again in ~6 months.

I want to do milestones again at hand 200m too. I'm going to change the way it works a bit to try to reduce the value in nitting it up. That was already in place to some degree, but PokerStars have trained people to play it that way, so they don't read the rules. I think having a table cap for the whole site during those hands could be useful...

Yeh, I think this is our big long term advantage over a lot of sites. Eventually people will build the features we have that they like, but we can build new ones faster than they can. This is why having Adobe Air is good right now. It has definite downsides, and when we move away from it we'll do a lot better. But someone like PS have 15 years of infrastructure to build on and around. We have 10% of their developers, if not fewer.

One reason is that it's very hard to spot cheating in it. Another is that we don't want to split our SNG liquidity - we're a pretty small site still, we can't afford to make player pools so low that the games don't run. I think it may be more attractive to new players, but good players can take advantage of them more than they can in most games.

We did a kind of league in Jan for MTT - I think we'll do similar again but rework it a bit so that it doesn't require quite so much volume. Having one game a week is too much variance though I think.

As for merchandise - I'd love to do this, but it's just a huge amount of work. There're also problems with shipping. If we did it it'd have to be just for markets xyz. My original aim with Challenges was to include hats and clothing and stuff as I think that sticks with people longer than a ticket does.

I'd like more PLO too. It's up ~120% since launch (can't check while I'm out the office), compared to the whole site being up ~65%. This is why we include it in all of our promos.

On a related note, we're cutting PLO25 rake to 3% from Apr 28th.

Tournaments award points too, but they do it in small regular amounts instead of large varied amounts. It'd be too hard to do Challenges for tournaments - I don't want to make earning points about how good you are at poker, and I can't make it about volume of hands for SNG/MTT as that's the same thing. That's why we just settled with awarding points directly.

Twitch thing is interesting. In a week or so we'll mail everyone about it too, we just want to make sure it works properly. Right now there're quite a few people on small numbers of viewers and only a few streams, but we're hoping that as the month goes on both will improve. Hopefully it'll introduce some new people to streaming too, and they'll stick with Unibet.

Yeh, I heard about this the day it came out. I talked to them about it and they are refusing to stop supporting us. I obviously didn't want to publicise it, but seeing as it's in the thread now I figure it's fine to discuss it.

This is why dealer chat is a bit garbled. If you pay attention to them, you'll see that those numbers are wrong for every player. We have a longer term solution too, but we will break any HUD that comes to our attention. In fact - here's a bounty. If anyone can link me to a working Unibet HUD that I don't already know about, I'll credit you with €100 in tickets.

any consideration lately on introducing autotopup function? i consider myself semifun player, not a completely novice, but not a grinder too. i feel like its not fair to me. if i lost half of my stack last hand, why am i punished in next hand that i am not able to win opponent`s whole stack, but others with full stack can? basicaly it is bad beat ran twice.

i have read your previous statements in this thread that you want to protect fun players, but more experienced players can easily spot them not topup few hands in row. so what is the point at all?

yes it's me and yes, the lobby and number of players froze for me too so I decided to restart the client, but instead, I got error #3 a several times. finally, I managed to get back into the game but the error was still there for quite some time...

I have encountered this kind of player once few months before with nickname youraiseifold or similar. At that time I though it was someone's pissed gf doing this to get revenge or something nonetheless, I liked that player - it was easy money

Weirdest play I have seen was a couple of weeks ago, Player limped and then min bet flop and turn and pushed all in on river every hand. Two straights on the river = 2 of his stacks. Would be happy to find play like that every day :-)

it kind of amuses me - poor schmucks needing a worthless HUD for even the most basic forms of Poker, lol. Just shows me that Unibet is headed into the right direction.

I know right? Some of these plays seem to be made by a bot with a typo or two in it's code. Sad to say I've gotten stacked by these a few times too lol.

Btw one note: the dealer chat window isn't ideal. In omaha it's not always easy to see who outkickered you in the .5 seconds the hand is visible and you can't ever see the previous hand w/o expanding dealer chat.

Having gone through the process I still feel that there was no prize involved here.


Happily for me i won the bet ,but i had to put my own money up for the bet out of cashier no different than if i had decided to do a bet anyway.The only "prize" was in having a chance at getting some money back if this bet lost but that was no way risk free .

compare that with the cash tickets given as other rewards in the prize drop. In those unibet are giving money up front to the winners with play through requirements in order to release it. since people will generally be playing poker anyway thats hardly an onerous condition.

In future , i think a £10 free bet (even with the 3 times wagering condition at 1.4 placed on it ) would make people think that they had won a prize and gives people a chance to run it up . Chances are that one of the three bets would fail enough times to make it a profitable advertising promo for unibet rather than one potentially annoying their customers by making them feel exploited. This ticket certainly didn't make me feel as though i won anything.


On the flip side , last night i was the winner of the 50euro of tickets for watching the unibet stream .That is an inspired piece of advertising putting the unibet brand in front of twitch's poker viewers.Is there anyway that people can tell whether the prizes for that day have been awarded?

Andrew, I have got a question about the UO satellites.
Let's say I play a €10 sat, the prizes for the first 5 are €50 tickets and 6,7 and 8 place reward each a €10 ticket. Wouldn't it make more sense to award the sixth place 3x€10 tickets (and nothing for place 7 and 8)?

If you win a package, I am sure they will let you change it for a different one you could play. At the very worst there is 250 euros cash in the package, I know its not 2000 but its better than losing 50.

Is anyone having issues with the lobby in the UO Slot freeroll? I got booted when the tournament started and since I managed to log back in the lobby is froze?

Working for me. 331 players left.

Open a second lobby, close the uo slot lobby and then reopen uo slot lobby.
If you disconnect the lobby doesnt always work afterwards and you need to reopen it.
