there's no issue with learning to play when you have second best preflop hand facing only one guy - the allins in NL4 are totally random compared to, let's say NL10

nb I wonder if you would not shove allin with KK against sb
that might have been JJ, QQ, AK or any crappy cards, before this I had same situation preflop with KK vs JJ

@PrsHarlequin

There is no lobby, if you close the client and reopen it the table auto opens and you cant view active games, the client olny shows how many people are playing each stake.
No exact dates for hotel or tournaments. haven't been credit €250 yet either, presume it has to be done manually.

Maybe it's that particular challenge is easier to achieve? As I understand, it's not like every major challenge at xNL gives you y points. Points are based on the difficulty of achieving that challenge.

Andrew,

Do the points, that were not used up to reach some milestone in the challenges, stay in the account? Because I have 0 now - they havent been transferred to the second q, and I think that you have mentioned that in some previous post before

Edit: oh, I just found your post, you were talking about points over 1m, and I was only close to 10k

I removed the ticket and I asked our 3rd line support to have a look at the case, I'm sorry you had trouble.

We've found a couple of situations under which it can occur and have fixed them in our development client, but the fixes aren't live yet. They'll come in with the next release, which is Apr 28th.

Thanks - could you post your alias and the tournament it happened in please? It'll help us track down a bug.

There are two things here. First, there is currently no page that shows the SNG structure/starting stack. This is a problem and it should be fixed in the next release in a way that's similar to how MTT info works in dealer chat.

But for reference, 5-max SNG have 2k starting stacks and 2-max have 1k. Both have 3 minute levels. 5-max uses the exact same blind level structure as all of our tournaments (I basically stole the Sunday Million structure and made it a bit slower). 2-max uses a very similar one but doesn't have antes.

The other thing is that we don't allow table selection. There is no list of SNG running (though there is a count), and you can't pick which one to play asides from the stake. This is the same in cash games.

There's no table selection because we don't want bum-hunting. It's very bad for the ecology if people only sit with weak players. We want to make the site about poker, not about who has the best auto-seating script.

Finally, we rake less per player per day than we did while on MGS. This is because we didn't design the site to appeal purely to heavy grinders on rakeback deals. Instead we built it to be about keeping new players alive for longer. It's true that we extend the lifetime of weak players so I guess you could say we're raking them more, but if that comes because they're more likely to deposit next time it's good for everyone (except bum-hunters).

The events team will send it a day or so into the week - it's done by hand and they don't work on Sundays. Did you get it yet?

For instance in their live betting section, outcomes on fastpaced sports dissappear all the time and you have to reload the entire (slow) site. Sometimes it gives the 'not logged in' or 'a technical problem occured. please try again later' errors. Reloading the site does the job but is obv very annoying.
Could you note the time it happens next time please, and post it? Also, could you post your alias or PM me your login name please? This goes for anyone who gets this - we'd like more information on this problem please.

It isn't a widespread problem - or if it is, it's newly widespread.

Also, the site is only slow if your computer is slow. It's true that we have higher CPU requirements than we'd like, but this is a side effect of how we built it.

It obviously sucks that the CPU requirements are high. But it means we can have almost identical versions on PC, Mac, iOS, Android and Browser, and that we can put out pretty substantial monthly updates on each of them. All of that with a team of about a dozen developers.

In the long-term we'll be able to do something about the high CPU requirements, but it's an enormous amount of work.

It'll take up to 72h to be credited though, as it's done by hand.

It should actually be 01:00 AM CET (00:00 UTC), but I guess daylight saving messed it up a bit.

Points per Challenge haven't changed (though a couple of frequencies changed, so the points change in proportion as usual).

The overall payouts have changed but they aren't lower - I still expect to pay out the same amount this quarter as last. I like to change it around a bit each quarter because otherwise it will get stale, and also to improve the performance. For example, bonuses at the top end are smaller now and cash payouts are larger, because it was possible to stack lots of bonuses that you'd never get to play in Q1 (hence me exchanging queued bonuses for tickets, and the rash of bonus exchanges lately).

Yeh, it was at 1m+ points. Also, if you were 50% through a Challenge, it credits you with 50% of the projected points at the end of the quarter. This would bump a few people over some lines when previously they may have just stopped playing once they complete a Challenge near the end of the quarter.

so thats what happens....

last night while I was chasing some challenges before the reset happened, the pop-up said that I completed the major challenge, and got 0 points, but I actually did pass the required score treshold to get the bonus.

What I'm saying is, you should probably see about those pop-ups to be more accurate, when one gets his points for being over 50% in a challenge.

btw nice feature
perhaps there could also be note of some kind for people to know more about it (I was not aware of it, and I'm a fairly frequent player)

I hope they don't change anything. To me, their loyalty scheme is not a mess at all. You play, collect points and earn rewards. Every 3 months points reset.

Not a mess.

Maybe you're the problem and not Unibet?

I know what you mean, and the biggest problem with Challenges is how to make them relatively easy to understand. I think we've done a good job of it though. As of last month, 408,251 Challenges had been completed.

Yeh, I agree. We don't do a great job of explaining these things, one of our few routes to doing this is via 2 + 2, so if a regular in this thread didn't know about it it's safe to say almost nobody did.

This is also why a lot of people thought Q1 Challenges were worse than Q4 - it's because we were paying money out in a different way with the rolled over totals etc. If we'd have done a better job explaining it then we'd have come out of it looking better.

We're about to hire a social media intern so that gives us a better channel for explaining some of this stuff. I don't know if we should make a page about it, but maybe a news page would work.

An unibet facebook page dedicated only to poker would be nice . It would make it very easy and accesible for everyone. You can explain challenges very brief on that page and give a link to the unibet website where it is explained in detail. You can also inform players about upcoming promo's and stuff so that not only people in this thread but also the recreational players see what is going on . Releasing the patchnotes on that facebookpage might be a good thing aswell.

Yeh, we'll do facebook but I'm not sure what's allowed. I suspect that we can only do one for the UK etc. due to facebook regulations (poker has to be licensed in that country). Twitter should be fine though, and of course Twitch.

Talking of which: https://www.unibet.com/promotions/po...itch-cash-drop
