I have the same issue. Since installing the updated client, dealer chat for cashgames and SnGs shows random spaces in player names. It looks like this:
Are some people seeing dealer chat as normal? I can't think why this would only affect some users. I'm on Windows 7 if that helps identify the cause.

Hey Andrew,
Reporting a bug/glitch I found in a 1e tourney. It seems the full 1e is going in as rake and none of it goes into the prizepool. It is showing the buy in as "0+1" instead of the usual "0.90+0.10".
This meant that when 83 people joined the MTT the prizepool stayed at the 50e guaranteed, instead of being 74.7e so everyone that cashed lost out on some $.

Now a screenshot of what this tourney lobby showed:
So im thinking it took 100% rake and payed the 50e overlay for the guaranteed prizepool?

Thanks, I've reported it. Does anyone else get this? I couldn't replicate it when I just tried playing a tournament on the PC version.
Cool, glad to hear it. I'm interested in doing more at PLO, it's grown faster than the rest of the site and I have idle ambitions of taking over the global PLO market.... One day.

Yeh. Broadly I agree with you, but the problem is that if you set it too low then people simply play on 2+ sites at once. The key is to find an amount that means those people on 12 tables will still feel OK playing on just one site, otherwise we've achieved nothing. It's not even the rake that matters per se - we only rake a couple hundred euros there per day. It's that the games don't get any looser.
It'll require a server restart to do though, in which case I'll wait until the release at the end of April.
This is something that's been on our list to fix for a while. The problem is that it's hard to fix and we can get some more interesting stuff in more easily. I'd definitely like to get it done in the near future though.
We thought about it, but I think people mostly use a friendlist to just follow people they think are bad/they don't like. Avoiding chat is a good thing too. I'd like to make the site a bit more community-minded without having chat, which are probably different ends of a spectrum rather than something we can find a compromise for.
I thought about this when writing the table priority spec, but we didn't think many people would use it. We're doing multi-tabling on mobile & browser at the moment, but it won't get up to 8 tables I think (probably 4).
I think we're changing the way this works when we do the tourney lobby redesign. It's a good idea but I don't think it'll be needed when we make that release.
That's more of a side effect than the main reason. The main reason was to avoid table selection - people choosing which games they play based on who is in those games. For example, my boss put some money into PokerStars and sat at a 5/10 PLO game. As soon as he sat, the whole table filled within a couple of seconds with people table selecting using scripts. As soon as he sat out, the whole table sat out immediately. That's the main reason we don't allow table selection.
Even if people only collude when they accidentally join the same tables, we have tools in place to check for that kind of thing. In SNG it's actually an advantage for catching colluders - if someone sits with their friend 90% of the time, they're going to be investigated pretty quickly.

I guess the problem is that we encourage people to do stuff we don't want. e.g. developing a tracker (lots of trackers can make auto-notes on people). We just want to make it about poker, not about who can take the best notes. There're also problems with how we store it etc. that can be awkward. It's not something I feel particularly strongly about, but I think it just fits in better to not have notes.
That's definitely one of the reasons, but also that I think a lot of stats/app integration give people an advantage. I'd rather make it as level as possible. I just want the site to be about poker, not about poker + database usage and HUD design.
We've seen this twice before, but we can't figure out what causes it. It happened once to someone at Unibet in our staff tournament too. It may be that the recent update has made this problem more frequent - has anyone else had it?

Brag: 3rd best ever day yesterday, beating out the day that hand 105m hit (best days are hand 95m and hand 100m).
We need to add countries one by one and it looks like Ireland wasn't added yet. We have to be very careful with this because if Apple get upset with us they could pull our app from every country. I've requested that Ireland be added - it should be done now, but it may take 24-48h before Apple notice.

Thanks - this was a typo on our end when we set the tournament up. It was indeed taking 100% of the buyin as a fee. We thought we'd fixed it, but it turns out we accidentally replicated it when we fixed times for daylight savings.
We've paid out the additional funds and should've stopped the problem from happening again, sorry about that.
I agree, I don't like this much. The problem is that this is a site-wide login thing, and they don't want to save login information for security reasons.

Yeh - that's the reason I started playing Hearthstone, to test it out (currently having trouble getting past rank 5). But people just use it to troll each other. I don't think it'd work any better in poker.
I've also had suggestions from, I think, Bodog - where you can throw bananas at each other or something. That's a bit more light hearted and I can see it working better, but it's quite a lot of hassle for a fairly small improvement.
