I really can't see why this topic has such a spot in your heart that you feel the need to reply with snide comments to someone trying to do their job, a good job, by addressing why the site is the way it is.
If u want to play on reg infested sites sure, do so, there's plenty out there. (Although options are limited to you in the US).
I was correcting his misinformation about the stox scandal. In one ear, out the other, and I'm certainly not going to write out EV calculations for how situations can be used to mitigate variance and the sample size it would take to prove it with a high degree of confidence since he didn't read all of Noah's posts, so I doubt he would read mine.
He said "we know what to look for" and wants that to be that without elaborating. Fortunately, people able to collude as successfully as stox did are very rare, so they'll pick up on the typical moron that thinks sharing holecards equals an immediate advantage, very easily.
Most colluders collude because they suck at poker and wind up losing more because they misuse the additional information, so there's not a whole lot to worry about, but with no hand histories, your suspicions will take longer to develop before you can make a report for the site to investigate. Being that a lot of you guys don't like the Stars regs, hudbots and whatever cool names you guys come up with for guys that studied the game seriously, then this tradeoff is most likely advantageous for you.
Maybe he's a good rep, helpful to you regs etc., but you can tell he's a rep and doesn't have a ton of serious poker experience (which is fine; his job is to lasso new players to the site and not discuss Nash equilibrium push/shove). His assertion that PTR data from at least 3 years ago indicates that Uni has the highest proportion of winners than most other sites, should clue one in. 3 years is a long time in online poker in terms of evolution. He said it's because new players last longer. The biggest winners AND the longest lasting fish? Mind blown.
Anyway, I'll exit your thread now. Sorry... I didn't mean to cause a disturbance nor be called a troll. Good luck at the tables guys, and good luck with the growth of the site, Andrew.
