It's not a major problem for early bustouts, but it's very common on Sundays (especially if a big freeroll is running) for the lobbies to be frozen (showing the wrong stacks and positions) and featuring incorrect numbers of payouts and/or the number of players remaining. My previous screenshot showed someone with 5 chips being in a higher position to a player with 4000 chips, when the reality was that both were busto.
In the UO50 satty on Sunday for almost the entire game, including after registration finished, the lobby was showing 6 tickets would be awarded. Then suddenly when we got to the so-called 'final table' two more prizes suddenly appeared as additional payouts, and it said there were 9 people left, when the table was 8-handed. Not knowing which position you are in as the bubble approaches creates a great deal of confusion, as the bubble situation has an effect on strategy, especially in satellites.
e.g. Just prior to ^this hand^, the lobby was saying that only 6 got paid, so I was playing a certain strat to suit that. Then it sort of updated (albeit with incorrect stack sizes), and showed that 7th and 8th got commiseration prizes, but it continued to list someone in 9th place with 42 chips, when he'd probably busted an hour earlier. (One never quite knows with Unibet if there might be someone sat out "invisibly", due to graphics glitches. If that was the case it would be a disaster to play a hand if he's about to blind out as the bubble boy). For a couple of orbits everyone had been playing like we were two or three spots off the bubble, when in fact we had all locked up at least half a buy-in.
I'm not moaning because I lost, by the way. I won the 250 ticket, but it was incredibly stressful trying to play the correct ICM push/fold strat when - for the bulk of the tournament - I didn't know what position I was in or how far we were from the bubble. Dysfunctional lobbies are just one of the reasons why I don't play on Unibet as much as I used to. Broken software does not make for a happy experience.
