Happy holidays all, I hope Santa brought you some run-good.
Before I get into the replies, just wanted to post a reminder for anyone who missed it the first time that NL/PL800 games will be removed from the lobby on December 31st.
We also had a new release on 20th December, details:
New Features and Improvements:
- Reduced load time for in-app updates
- New way of handling avatars making it less heavy
- New Casino in Poker games: Blackjack and Mighty Artur
Promotions integrated in the client:
- January Mission
- Winter Bootcamp part 2
- Unibet Open Slot (now including SNGs)
Bug fixes:
- Fixed Windows Client crashing when losing internet connection while loading remote assets
- Added error message when trying to login without internet connection
- Fixed Web client background and card textures not always rendering properly for the first hand played
- Fixed UK Tour satellites tournaments giving away generic tickets as 2nd prize (after main prize) instead of UK Tour ones
There were also other improvements that may not be relevant to you like the ability to segment banners for new players etc.
Some players had issues with the automated update last time on Android(and had to uninstall/reinstall the client instead). Please let me know if that happens! For PC users who had the same issue, it's likely due to your antivirus and we made some improvements there as well but you will only see it on next release (in late January).

A big chunk of our players are from the Netherlands so it's really frustrating but as the other responses to your post mentioned, it's because we are prohibited from advertising in the Netherlands and this could be seen as a form of advertisement. It should change once regulation goes through in that country.

They seemed entirely unaware of the scale of the problem and I've now wasted a bunch of time explaining them what actually happened and why this is a clear slam dunk refund based on ICM for every single tournament...

Happy holidays everyone and thanks to everyone @ Unibet who helped me out!
This was a tricky one as I didn't see it until after the community site guys nudged me and after looking into it, it wasn't clear whether it was an issue on our end or yours (despite the problems we suffered that day).
That said, you got a raw deal from CS and this should all be resolved now, as you mentioned in a later post.

Such an "accomplishment" would be accessible to rec and grinder alike as all strive to get closest to 100%.
Agree with that suggestion for any SNG-related leaderboards which is related to winning but I suspect that this promo will be introduced for cash games first due to the complexity of adding it for SNGs.
That doesn't mean we'll ignore SNG players though, adding more SNG promos is on the agenda. UO Slot is returning in January and you'll now be able to earn spins in SNGs (was previously only available for cash games)

No, that was not me, but he is a good friend though. We were only 2 Canadians and I did get to finish 18th in the Main event .
Please don't tell everyone yet, I haven't managed to convince the UO team yet

David, really like the sound of future plans, particularly the targeting of losing players for rewards. With the 18man mtt for losing players, isn’t that almost always going to comprise only of highstakes cash players, sng players won’t get a look in, and also pros having a bad week will get rewarded, which I assume is not the target group.
The formula will also take the four biggest losing SNG players each week and will take into account loss-rate in bb/100 at cash games - we've run tests with 2017 data and are fairly confident that the formula we'll use means that the right players get some money back each week.

I'd be happy to start playing regularly once its possible, but if the VIP system is still done on a quarterly basis then starting to play at the end of January or in February wouldn't be all that attractive as it stands.
Coming into to a quarterly VIP system after the start of the quarter will suck (Ireland won't be up and running on 1st January) but we will throw in some added incentives to try to gain traction in Ireland. We also have two Irish ambassadors who I'm sure will do a good job of spreading the word.
Criminally, we had only a few press releases about the online client go out in 2017. We'll have a full calendar of press releases for 2018, opening up in the Irish market being one of them. I think that will also make a big difference, not just to getting Irish players on board but to growing player numbers on the site in general.

Apologies for the disappointment caused by the 1st iteration of UK Tour changes. Thankfully we do have a vocal community and someone listening at the other end. We had to lower the overlays for the tour to be sustainable and obviously didn't want to kill the tour in the process, but it seems that things are heading in the right direction now.
I feel your extra pain given that you can't even post on the community site and speak directly to Leo
Thanks to Jonny for copy/pasting your posts there.

Would a multi day MTT work for people that want a deepstack tournament but also need to go bed at a certain time?
something like 7pm to 11pm Day1s then either carrying on through the following days or only resuming on the same day the following week.
Not sure if this is something people would like but thought i would share the idea, will post on community for Leo to see(if he has enough time to check it after getting through the UK schedule changes thread Kappa )
The hellfire has subsided now so I'm assuming he got to this

After all Banzai seems to be just something you want to do in between games for fun. Banzai Texas and Banzai Omaha seem to furfill the same needs and therefore I think it might indeed be better to remove Banzai Omaha.
Has it only to do with the cap or also with a lot of players want to get in the client at the same time? In that case a lower cap will not really help, because people will still try and get in the client? I am not a tech person though, so I don't really know.
No ETA on the shareable hand replayer, it's in the back log but isn't being prioritized over other features atm (it's because the other features are really worthwhile, I promise!).
I'm not a tech person either but my understanding is that the tournament controller can't handle the extra load when more than around 2,500 players are seated at once. I think this has to do with our servers and we had thought that we could increase the cap recently but it seems we might have been a bit too adventurous.

We won't get rid of Hold'em because it actually does quite well in terms of unique players but Omaha is a dead duck I'm afraid. I agree that the name definitely isn't informative...

The issue here would be qualifiers on a budget only having one seat while everyone around them can re-enter. There has been a lot of pressure on the UO Team from people who see 'more entries = more rake' but it's something that's been resisted so far (rightly, imo).

For now I think it will remain as NL400, for us to make a change like that there would have to be compelling reasons because it would involve a lot of work on our side (tickets in the system, Challenges, dev work for Relax).
Personally I also think that 400 is a nicer number

NL4 is meant to be a beginners stake, it was never our intention to provide a grinding stake that low and so the lower cap at NL4 (8 tables) is also a disincentive towards that.
A global table cap of 10 is still on the low side so I'm not really sure how us allowing a lower cap at a lower stake is an argument for a higher cap?

This shouldn't happen and we certainly don't have downtime every 4 hours so this is likely to do with your machine interacting with our client.
If you post here you should be able to get some help:

What I mean here is that if someone is playing 8 NL4 games and wants more "action", i.e. more money moving around, then they should play e.g. 8 NL10 games instead rather than us facilitating their playing 16 NL4 tables.
In the end I didn't actually try to play on Unibet while I was away, but it might help someone to know that I found that Skrill was not visible/available as a withdrawal method when I was physically in Hong Kong (didn't try in Macau).
Ah, I see what you mean. For tournament suggestions, the best place to head would be the community site as Leo will pick those posts up (he doesn't often check here).

There is an issue for some players regarding avatars, I think this has to do with a change on our end so that the avatars aren't re-downloaded each time we have a new release (making the client less 'heavy'). It's being looked into, there is a thread here:

This should be sorted now, let me know if it isn't. Apparently what we had before wasn't an 'official' policy so the UO Team were unaware.

Hi. I think unibet has gone a bit too far with trolling players here.
On 24th I logged in and noticed that I had a ticket called community freeroll to a christmas tournament..
all seemed nice except one thing, the game was already running and could not join.
Why is unibet making fun of/trolling players by giving them a ticket they cannot use? Is it fun or something?
I'm online daily and I know I didn't receive this ticket earlier. I checked the client and noticed the date-time
and indeed it was sent night time. Was not even aware of it. Such tickets should be given days earlier so we know that there's a game coming. No email.. no notifications in the game, nothing.
I feel like this is just ridiculous. It's almost as good as... "Hey look we have a party and you are welcome to join.. oh damn the party already started and you can't come anymore but hey.. you can look at the ticket".
All I can say is that I thought Unibet was a fun play to play poker & casino games at,
but now I'm definitely going to stick to stars only.
Such trolls are really unacceptable and stupid, especially to do it on xmas 24 december.
I noticed more complaints about this on the unibet community forum but decided to post it here instead.

Besides I got mine around four hours before the tourney started.
It certainly wasn't a troll, it was a nice reward for players who followed the advent calendar on the community site. As you didn't know anything about it beforehand, I'm assuming you probably shouldn't have received a ticket in the first place (I'm unsure about details of the promotion).

You can ignore the expiry date on the ticket as that's just a placeholder, if you PM me your username I can look into it for you.
