How could you stop it if true?
If a program is just telling him how to play hands pre-flop, he could run a laptop beside the one he is playing on and input his hand to get the suggested option and its frequency and Unibet would never know.

I guess it would be up to Unibet to decide if they want players like that on their site then. I would stop playing if given a choice between that and playing incredibly slow games vs someone using 3rd party software. It wouldn't surprise me if there were multiple higher stakes players using it on Unibet though, I've encountered a fair few who are very slow on a lot of decisions. Obviously they could be playing more tables on other sites but I wouldn't rule anything out at the moment.

As I asked, putting aside "proving" it how could Unibet stop it? If the person is using a laptop beside their computer, how can you stop it? Is having a review of a player's history and size/betting frequency to see if something fishy enough to get them banned and their funds frozen if their patterns match known programs?
Is a shorter time bank the answer? Curious for your or Andrew's suggestions as this "problem" will only get more frequent in the future with advances in technology.

True, I do think it would be hard to prove or prevent other accounts using, especially because I can't use a HUD. I have no idea what the solution is, would be interested to hear from Andrew.
any plans on adding €€ to bb converter at some point??
hi Andrew,
there is a tiny visual problem with avatars, after playing for a while there appears some kind of smudge around some of the avatars, similar to what you can see in this image:
not a big deal, but would be nice if you could fix it.

I would like to report a player that checkraised me
Bug report:
Client open for 2-3 hours, forgot to restart before next session.
The client crashed either when opening the 11th or 12th table and/or when a minor challenge was complete.
I have noticed this before, when client crashes at same time as a challenge completion if client open for a while.

Sure, done.
Another bug: Break clock shows time longer than 5 minutes. It started at 5:13 and disappeared with 0:13 left on it.

The way PS handled this was really dodgy - he submitted his software for approval, which they gave. At that point, his software was a series of voice-activated charts. Someone complained about it a few weeks later, and PS decided to out Skier as the person they were complaining about, and decided to change their rules so that they could ban the program. Skier then remade the program so that it was an offline training tool, which is the state it's currently in. It's pretty bad of PS to out Skier when he was honest enough to even make them aware of his program.
So, the software he uses doesn't interact with the client. It's for training outside the games, like PioSOLVER or the various ICM training tools. So, it isn't against our site rules.
Only people in his cartel/stable use his program. The player you mention is not Skier and it isn't not anyone in his stable.
But, there're other cartels that have built similar programs, and I doubt they all have the moral scruples that Skier does, and I imagine some of them are running in real time and telling them what to do. This is definitely a problem that's going to grow as online poker matures further, and it's one of the reasons we have invested a lot in our fraud team. This kind of software is very much against our rules.

This is how you detect cheating in online chess or backgammon. Real people deviate from the optimal strategy, no matter how good.
But I think in the long term, headsup games will effectively die, like fixed limit holdem has. People will get close enough to the GTO strategy that nobody has a big enough edge to beat rake.
Six max and deeper games should survive though. The former because there's no real way to get the GTO solution in a 3+ player game. The development of poker will mean that people get better and better at SB vs BB and, to a lesser extent, BTN vs BB or CO vs BTN situations, as they can expect them to be headsup.
The latter game can survive because it takes a lot of processing power to find the equilibrium when there're more bet sizings available. This isn't a long term solution though, as processing power is still increasing pretty rapidly, even if we potentially aren't holding to Moore's Law any more.
So I think the medium term solution to HUSNG being solved is to run them at 100bb and maybe faster blind times. I don't think we're at the stage we need to change them yet though.
I also have a couple of more devious ways to defeat GTO solvers, but they're quite hard to build, so that'll take a while.
No, we aren't allowed. It's against the licensing terms in a couple of different jurisdictions - it has to be clear at every stage what monetary amount people are betting.

Thanks for the reply Andrew, although I feel your friendship with Skier may have clouded your judgement a bit when discussing the Stars situation. As far as I'm aware, PS have the ability to view any other programs you have open so I'm not sure Skier letting Stars know is him being this moral guy, more that he wants to protect himself from a ban if they were to disapprove of it.
Regardless, I'm more worried about Unibet and as someone that plays the highest stakes HUSNG's with not a single piece of software, it concerns me that there will be players I'm playing against who are using software in real time to gain an advantage, something I worry more about when certain players are using a lot of time for many decisions. What assurances can Unibet offer that everything is being done to prevent players from being able to do this?
Thanks for your time.

Hi Andrew,
I just registered a €2 Unibet Open sat from the tournament-lobby you get to see when your are logging in. While I have many €2 Unibet Open tickets, I didn't get any option to choose if I want to pay with one of my tickets or with cash. And it deducted €2 from my account while I wanted to use one of my tickets (which seems logical, right?) Can you refund €2 into my account and deduct 1 €2 Unibet Open sat ticket? Is this a bug or how could this happen? My username is Pharmacist

Hi Andrew, I just manged to setup my desktop PC at my new place and have previously been using just a laptop to play on the client.
I've run into an issue where whenever I start the client and open a table it just completely crashes, this has never been a problem on my laptop and both systems are running a fully up to date version of windows 10 Pro.
I've checked everything I can think of my end, uninstalled and reinstalled, ran as admin etc etc, there doesn't seem to be any specific error code, the client just crashes as soon as a table is opened on my desktop machine.
I'd rate my desktop as pretty damn stable as I regularly use a number of high end graphics apps and pretty taxing games with no problems.
Specs:
OS: Win 10 Pro
Processor: AMD FX 6 Core 3.8GHz
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD7700
RAM: 14GB
Any help or advice would be great as right now my desktop is completely useless with regards to playing on the client and moving back to my laptop whilst being a temporary fix isn't ideal.
cheers

Seeing which programs are open is irrelevant if you want to hide what you're doing. Just name your program explorer.exe or whatever.

I realize this might be funny and look like a joke, but it's not. Hell, support in all likely hood thinks I am trolling hence their attitude. It truthfully happened, honest to God.
I was playing Heads Up. Villain raised my limp, I, without paying much attention here, hold a weak hand and click the left most button to fold it. I see a flop however and just assume I must have misclicked but still no alarm bells go off. Flop is one I can peel, so I do. On turn it finally fully dawns on me that there is no FOLD button present when I am barreled into. River same thing. In the confusion I did manage to take a screenshot of the River. Next hands the issue was present too. I haven't played since this happened for obvious reasons.
I have sent the screenshot and my log file to support more than 24 hours ago, no reply. As well as twice contacted Live Chat support, that apparently thought this is a joke and disconnected the chat twice.

unibet obv tellin you that J high is gud m8, just call
Button looks too low down.
I agree it looks displaced. FWIW I also think I had avatars enabled but they are not in the screenshot. Puzzling.
Also congratz on improving the poker client alot! Just tried playing cash games and the client runs smooth on my computer now. Now that swedish site SvenskaSpel failed at introducing a new client (it's current state is way worse than your client ever was) I'm most likely returning to Unibet.
I wouldn't have mentioned the link if it seemed likely to me there was a problem. PS behaved incredibly badly by outing who was behind a program and who was in his stable, particularly when he went out of his way to comply with their rules.

What assurances can anyone give here? I think I've shown that I understand how this software works and what it does, which demonstrates we have looked into this quite a bit. We are always working to ensure that players aren't breaking our terms & conditions.

Possible tweak here: make the 'fold to any bet' button only submit the click if mouse cursor is still over it. Just like the fold/checkcall/bet buttons.

Both times on the same table on consecutive hands, but the other two tables I was playing at the time were unaffected and once i'd closed and reopened the offending table the buttons returned to normal.

Btw, I haven't logged in since December and just saw that I got 2x €50 cash tickets in January. Could you reactivate / get me new ones? Thank you.

The developers say: "were there any disconnections or timeouts in the previous hand? did you have the 'play' button corrupted in the previous hand?"
While on that topic I was wondering what your stance is on a player who plays more tables than he can handle? There is a player at NL400 who is on all the tables and is really slowing the games down. I don't want to mention the alias here but I could PM you the alias if needed.
