I don't understand the benefit to the site of this kind of affiliate. How often is it the case that someone has never heard of Unibet but is a regular visitor to that rakeback site, so the rakeback site gets commission for "finding" them as customers for the site? Isn't it way more likely that the person wanted to play on Unibet anyway, and looked around for where they could get a discount on the rake - or maybe half of a discount on the rake after the site has taken its cut?

If it's something like someone has clicked a link from a pokernews article on "what hand beats what hand" then ok, it's legit marketing spend but otherwise I don't get it.

Thanks, someone on my team found this site a couple of weeks ago too, we've been talking about it a bit. To be honest, I'm not that interested in Poker Craft or emoticons.

I don't mind rabbit cams, or run it thrice, or insurance, but I don't think they're that great either. I think this is just what people found fun on High Stakes Poker, but that online it just leads to really slow games that will frustrate everyone.

What I liked with the site was the way it looks and feels, and the way they do some of the animations etc. I see they aren't tracked yet, it'll be interesting to see how they do.

Anything that interacts with the client is disallowed, anything that doesn't interact is allowed. It looks to me like both of these are the latter, as they don't read the hand in from the screen or anything.

I hate this affiliate model, and your post explains exactly why. People decide they want to signup at Unibet, THEN they go and look for an affiliate.

I would like to totally kill this kind of deal, but it's just not a fight I can pick at the moment. I'm not in charge of the affiliate department. Exactly. I think this kind of affiliate is a parasite on the industry. I'm also not fond of affiliates that simply shop their players around to whichever site offers the affiliate the most money, then as soon as someone else comes along, moves the players again.

The original poker site model for affiliates was to acquire players in markets where the site couldn't advertise, either for legal reasons or because they didn't have the expertise. I am totally fine with THAT model, and the latter case still holds in most places where the former does not.

It's such an emotive subject with some people that it's hard to actually discuss it. I assume you're talking about the mass-grinder part, but when I started talking about game difficulty and rewarding the losers I was pretty surprised. Some people appear to have a filter between their eyes and their brain, that changes the words I typed.

You can move the live package to the next event if you win a second one I believe or convert it into 1K of tickets.

You could also exchange the ticket into 5x €50 and just get the tickets active until the next event is announced.

Today the web client has been loging me out every hour.

basically i deposited £550 into unibet, played a little and decided the place wasnt for me so i withdrew, logged in a few days later to see the money returned, this is what support has told me so far

down £100 but i managed to wager it and withdraw, seriously pissed off with this and i certainly wont be coming back, ill make a thread about this just so other players are aware of the problems they might encounter

You played casino right? Nothing to do w/ poker. And thats common in casinos you have to wager your deposit before you make cashout.

It's the same on most sites, the sites pay a fee each time you deposit/withdraw.

@The Imp, a few people have said this is standard but iv never had an issue with it before and iv deposited larger amounts and played even less, its understandable if theres some kind of bonus, but there was no bonus in play

Andrew, in the time before my last request to extend the tickets was completed a €4 MTT expired but wasn't revived, if you do this, could you make it directly a bonus? I also see that an other super double trouble and double trouble are about to expire in 1 day, so could you please extend them (and all the other tickets I have except for the slot freerolls which you can remove ) the maximum amount of time possible?

Ok my bad. But they let you to wager in all games so next time just put that ammount to betting and use the smallest odds possible. Live betting is good for this.

i didn't mention or claim that the player i was referring to was breakeven. if anything, i would guess that they have a positive winrate.

Unibet has no distinction between a poker deposit and a deposit for other things.

Just my opinion, but if your location is accurate then I'd say they're sailing pretty close to the wind on this one.
