Sorry for falling behind a bit, I've been sick. I may fall behind again after today, as I'm off Wed-Thu-Fri.

All done.
Yeh, it sucks, I agree. I'm pretty annoyed with the developers for allowing it to stay in for so long.

I found out this Asian(?) network GGNET and tried it out one day. Why Im writing about this in here is that I think Unibet should have a close look on what they are doing. There are some good things that could be implemented.
For Recs&Entertainment:
Optional straddle - not very popular though at least in omaha
Run it three times
All in insurance - site offering optional insurance when going all in with a made hand against a draw
Emoticons - replacing traditional chat
optional Rabbit cam
And something for Regs too:
!!
Poker Craft (check this out! something I would like to see Unibet to add!) - a built in personal playing history/database where player can see statistics such as win/loss/ev per table played, win/loss per position etc.
!!
Sitting out timebank (smoking, toilet etc break buttons that gives u a little longer break)
betting size buttons can be customized
Thanks, someone on my team found this site a couple of weeks ago too, we've been talking about it a bit. To be honest, I'm not that interested in Poker Craft or emoticons.
I don't mind rabbit cams, or run it thrice, or insurance, but I don't think they're that great either. I think this is just what people found fun on High Stakes Poker, but that online it just leads to really slow games that will frustrate everyone.
What I liked with the site was the way it looks and feels, and the way they do some of the animations etc. I see they aren't tracked yet, it'll be interesting to see how they do.

I don't mind this, and in fact we do pretty much that with the bootcamps. But it's one of those things where I just prefer to spend the money elsewhere. I think we can make more effective promotions with it.

Not as far as I know, and we wouldn't do it on weekends anyway. Did this happen for long?

No, I don't convert tickets in this thread any more. Please contact support or use the community site.

2) Am I allowed to run flopzilla while having only my hand history open in the Unibet client (and not playing any tables)?
It's third party poker software, but it's not a tracking tool and not intended for live use, but I guess it could be abused by those who are very quick in using it. So I totally understand, and even approve, if it's not allowed. I just want to be sure of what I can and can't do to know how to organise my poker play and study.

I also had the cardplayer magazine calculator open last night (though on the deuce-seven single draw page) to calculate the "lame poker metaphor" in the NVG presidential election betting thread (based on the markets Trump is drawing to 7 outs from 41 unknown cards). Presumably something which is single-hand vs single-hand is ok as it can only be used after the cards are turned over to see how bad a beat was etc.
Anything that interacts with the client is disallowed, anything that doesn't interact is allowed. It looks to me like both of these are the latter, as they don't read the hand in from the screen or anything.

I am surprised Unibet has an affiliate program with their current approach to online poker and it's little tilting to realise I'm missing out on 5-10% rakeback (via rakeraces) by not signing up through an affiliate. Is this a relic of the older site?
I suppose there's no way to join an affiliate after a vanilla sign up? Any chance of Unibet offering some exclusive promos to non-affiliate accounts to level the playing field?
I hate this affiliate model, and your post explains exactly why. People decide they want to signup at Unibet, THEN they go and look for an affiliate.
I would like to totally kill this kind of deal, but it's just not a fight I can pick at the moment. I'm not in charge of the affiliate department. I'm hoping to get quite a lot of investment in poker next year, which will put me in a much better spot for only having affiliates that actually attract players to the site.

Isn't it way more likely that the person wanted to play on Unibet anyway, and looked around for where they could get a discount on the rake - or maybe half of a discount on the rake after the site has taken its cut?
Exactly. I think this kind of affiliate is a parasite on the industry. I'm also not fond of affiliates that simply shop their players around to whichever site offers the affiliate the most money, then as soon as someone else comes along, moves the players again.
The original poker site model for affiliates was to acquire players in markets where the site couldn't advertise, either for legal reasons or because they didn't have the expertise. I am totally fine with THAT model, and the latter case still holds in most places where the former does not.

It's such an emotive subject with some people that it's hard to actually discuss it. I assume you're talking about the mass-grinder part, but when I started talking about game difficulty and rewarding the losers I was pretty surprised. Some people appear to have a filter between their eyes and their brain, that changes the words I typed.
