Is there a way to cash that unibet poker tournament, i dont think its fair its basicaly throwing 2k euro in the fire for me. Its not worth it for me to travel with 1500 plane ticket, loose 5 days of playing for a 1k tournament
Basically, I agree, it doesn't work very well. In practice, I'm not sure what we could/should do about it. As you know, the vast majority of our players are in Europe, so we tailor the package for them. If we make the expenses €1,500 instead, that's bad for all of them. If we say it's OK to use cash instead, it means we're potentially annoying the majority of our player base. If we do nothing, it isn't good for you. So all are bad outcomes. We'll discuss it internally.

Sure - I killed 125 of tickets and credited a 100 & a 25. The denominations meant that killing more than 125 doesn't work out as an improvement.

Thanks for the report and the details. I'll pass it on to the developers. Seems quite an annoying bug, possibly the same one that Syrgas is experiencing. I plan to spend a lot of time this week hassling the developers to get to the bottom of it.

Sure, done. I was a bit enthusiastic with ticket cancelling though and killed €70 worth and credited 7x €10 MTT. If you'd prefer I convert one of the tens back, let me know please.

From the UK? My flights from London were < £200. I think the problem with increasing expenses is that a) we send a couple percent fewer players (not really a big deal), and b) we make it harder for players to actually win due to the long term accumulation of costs.
Mostly we aren't THAT worried about b) because we aren't really aiming at the tourney pro. But I don't want to do tournaments that people can't win at.

This is filed under feature rather than bug - apparently it was too hard for the developers to have the software open tournament tables. Instead it should open the specific tourney lobbies in tabs, and you can click join from there. It's not ideal, I know. Does it work like that for you?

The ones that you only need to hit once are going to have the highest variance. I'm afraid you fell on the unlucky side of this one, but in the long term it should work out.

There is definitely an argument that the higher the stakes, the more likely that new players will go broke faster, but we also get more players and we also make more money. So basically it's down to where the balance is.
I'm not sure which side of that fence we come down on yet. Basically it depends on how often NL400 runs - if it runs more then we have to decide whether to react to the market demand, or decide forever that that's our highest stake. I prefer having NL600 and poooosibly NL1000 one day, but I may well get outvoted.

I have asked support and they say Skrill will be an option once I have made a deposit with a Credit/Debit card. As I don't use either of these to make deposits on any poker site this will never happen. It's a shame as I like the concept of your poker room, I wonder how many others are put off depositing by this policy.

The cashier options vary depending on which country you're from. But these are Unibet wide issues rather than poker-specific, so you are better off talking to support than me.

Ratholing is a tricky one. I can't think of a reason that it would change anyone's EV. It can FEEL unfair, but I don't think it actually is. I distinctly remember thinking "now I need to get my money back from that guy" when I started out, but that isn't really relevant to how the game works.
That's basically the reason we have it that way. Plus the table re-joining algorithm favours tables you used to be on to avoid table selection.
