It's not anonymous in the sense of like Bovada, there are screen names... but it is anonymous in that you don't give any personal info to the site when you sign up. Just an email address.
There are a few standard methods to buy bitcoin, depending on how you want to pay. If you want to use a bank account you can purchase from Coinbase or Circle. If you want to use a credit card use Circle. If you want to use cash then check out LibertyX and see if there is a location near you.
Overall this is my favorite site to play on. There are things I'd like to see added and stuff but I still think it's one of the best options, especially for someone in the US.
I like the way the software looks, how you can choose different cards/backgrounds etc or add your own mods, the hand replayer is very smooth, they have almost all the poker variants you could want, the rake is very low, you can earn rakeback and everyone gets 50% rakeback for playing shorthanded, they give a lot back in rewards, and the withdrawals are fast, free and unlimited.
These are what my tables look like with a few mods, but you can get a general idea of how the site looks:
No, they don't have a phone number for support that I know of. But they do have an email. Or if you have general questions about the site you can ask here or in the chat lobby.
I'd recommend downloading and checking it out first to get a feel for the site before you buy bitcoin or anything to see how you like it.
