Well, the software has been running nicely with a lot less lag. And a subsequent update didn't break anything.

Now all that is needed is more players. C'mon people, give it a shot. There are lots of great games available.

I see you are in a rocking 20/40 Dealer's Choice. Good luck man.

Action is starting to pick up.

I just joined. Getting it running on my MacBook Pro was pretty easy, even though I don't have a CD drive. Tek-Micro sold me a downloadable copy of Windows 7 for $70, and I installed Parallels trial version. Parallels just took the Win7 file and created a Virtual PC for me, the only hiccup is it took a few hours for Tek-Micro to email me my serial number, but once I got it I was able to boot windows.

The only other tricky part was that I had trouble installing the SWC client, it wouldn't let me login, or it would get in a endless update cycle every time I started. I finally figured out I had to run the network connection for my Windows VM in "bridge mode", which you change in Parallels. Then everything worked great.

Yeah, still running smooth here since the big update.

Also seems like they've fixed the issues for people using a VM or XP.

So if you were having problems before, try downloading the setup file again from the website and see if it's working better.

Haven't seen overall sitewide connection issues either. They'd said that was the reason for waiting to add a full tournament schedule and promos... because if the site went down they'd have to manually review every hand that was being played to issue refunds.

Hopefully it continues to go well and they'll be able to add more tournaments soon.

I'm confused, by the sound of things in this thread, it appears you guys are still playing at seals? I went there and it told me they are ceasing operations and to cash out immediately.

How long does it take once you bitcoin cash out, for it to hit your bitcoin wallet?

It should. Not sure how long it will be, but they've been doing withdrawals in batches so it might take a few days.

Good time to remind anyone else that you only have until May 5th to withdraw from the old Seals site before they fully close that domain.

Also, if you want to carry your screen name and krill over to SwC you need to have an email attached to your Seals account. If your account didn't have one already, you can add one on the old Seals site.

can somebody explain how the rakeback works to me.

I play mostly 2-3 handed and get a lot of 50% rakeback for that but play more than that sometimes. This week I got 500 chips for table starter rakeback. meaning I genereated at least 1k chips (actually a lot more because of 4 handed). Im alsosupposed to get 11% on top of that and received only 20 chips for rakeback. Seems like it should be a minimum of 110 chips (+ whatever for 4 + handed)

Your logic seems correct. Only reason I could think of if you only get either starter or normal RB, but I never heard that it worked like that. Anyway, the reason I reply is cuz I noticed they are planning to make a Krill Leaderboard:

https://swcpoker.eu/krill-leaderboard/

Anyone already know details? Seems like they are planning to have weekly prizes for top krill earners.

that's what I assumed as well except I previously recall reading you could have 100% rakeback on the site if you had 50% for top tiir krill and 50% table starter, so I assumed the two were not mutually exclusive. Unless they decided to change that policy which would be pretty brutal and makes the rakeback effectively worthless

Each hand is only counted once at either the 50% table starter rate or your standard rakeback rate.

For the ones that were played 2 or 3 handed you got 50% rakeback.

For the hands played with 4+ players you got 11% rakeback.

That's how a lot of people end up with more tablestarter than standard rakeback.

how can that be true given their comment about being able to have 100% rb, unless by was old rule and ha since been changed.

It's also a bad policy because there's no reason for people to play and drive traffic. Almost all my play is 2-3 handed so I have no reason to put in extra volume outside of good games. When I played on stars SNE was a massive incentive to put in extra volume besides just great games and all my extra volume creates lots of extra games and rake for the site

I don't know, I personally hadn't seen anything about getting 100% so I can't comment on whether it's a change or not.

I can see your point that you're gonna be more motivated to play 2-3 handed to get the 50% tablestarter rakeback. But you're still earning krill which will increase your standard rakeback percentage from 11% to 19%/27%/33% etc.

And as you earn krill and move up in levels you'll be eligible for bigger krill freerolls, which will soon be back.

Plus like Nico posted it looks like they must be planning some krill leaderboard type promotions.

No I'm saying all things being equal if I can add an extra table on swc or I can add an extra table somewhere else, I'll likely pick up an extra table elsewhere. But if I could get 70-100% rakeback for all my hu action k seals is be super motivated to play and start tons of games there, which would be good for the site.

The initial rake on SWC is much lower than other sites, so part of what you would normally see as rakeback on another site shows up in your winrate here.

Yeah, that's a good point. Since the rake is only about 50% of standard sites you can add that savings to whatever rakeback you're getting.

An arrest warrant was issued against Bryan Micon in Las Vegas Justice Court on Monday on one count of operating an unlicensed interactive gaming system. The charge carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.

Love the software on the new site compared to the old site.
Hope they grow this player base !!

I had thought Micon was just the poker pro at the original Seals. Not being an owner allowed him to be a public figure for the site. However, now, after processing his seized computers, they are prosecuting him. Hmmmm.

There was a software update today. The auto-updater didn't do it for me... so if anyone else has that problem you have to get the new setup file from the website. I didn't have to uninstall though, just ran the setup and it went fine.

I only caught a bit in chat before they went down for the upgrade last night... but they said this update moves the SwCpoker folder from "Program Files" to "App Data". So if you have mods like I do that's where to find the images folder now.

I don't know much about computers but I think he said that was supposed to fix problems some people were having with Windows and make it run better or something.

The other change I noticed is a fix to make the clock stop running during tournament breaks. That was pretty frustrating and I'd complained about it a few times, so I'm glad to see that.

They posted on Twitter about the Krill leaderboard promo going live. The details are on the promotions page of the website.

I've also seen them talk in the lobby about other promos and the Krillrolls coming back soon, so hopefully all of that will help give traffic a boost.

For the most part I've been pleased with the software. The update process not so much. It never works on my pc, so I end up deleting and re-downloading,which works fine.

Traffic is picking up. I got a huge amount of rakeback yesterday and some kind of bonus, which means I've been playing too much, lol.

Same. I have to delete and reload whenever there is an update. Was told working feverishly on the issue. Not really that big of a deal.
