I think you are aware of the changes Party is making soon and probably understand how big of a chance that is for RIO to basically get all the traffic regs generated there as most of us to want to leave Partypoker now. Just saying that right now there is a huge opportunity for RIO to increase it's traffic if the right updates are coming soon!

Finally some people are playing again, can confirm that the playing experience is much better now. No more glitches, crashes or sit out problems!!!

Still a long way to go imo.

I'll offer some more feedback. I hope you are already aware but just in case, while this is obv a big improvement from what it was, it still isn't feeling snappy and smooth enough. Some things need to be tweaked, some things need to be a tad faster, and some things just need to be a lot smoother.

The graphics are just too basic and too ugly as well. Hopefully you will improve this!

Overall I'm happy, I'm happy that people are playing again! Hopefully this uptrend continues, hopeful the site improves as we go on and the player base gets stronger. Lets go!!! Long live poker!!!

Almost forgot, good change in the splash the pots!! This is much better, it's no longer a shove fest preflop, which is what was happening in even the smallest of splashes, literally every 1 was bombing mediocre hands for 5bb lol!

Now though, the splash does not get counted towards the pot, so we continue to play poker and, people can't just raise you allin preflop anymore!

I still much prefer 50% rake back traditional way. I'm hopeful you consider making these splashes more a novelty, and only use for example 10-20% of the overall rake back and splash with that instead. You could reduce the splashes and only splash big pots. I think this would be much better, everybody receives 30-40% rake back as usual and you splash the remaining in big 100bb+ splashes. Best of both worlds.

The smaller splashes add nothing to the game. The recs come back for the big splashes and the regs come back for the rakeback!!!

Lets make both happy!

I'm not trying to be a dick but literally every single update from Nick is "X is planned, no estimated date, hopefully soon". When I downloaded RIO on the first day 4-5 months ago not being able to resize tables was a big issue but high priority and I remember Phil saying it's not a 2 minute job, will likely take a few weeks. Well months down the line there's still no estimate? I want RIO to be an amazing site with SNGs/MTTs etc but the writing is on the wall at the moment. None of Nick's updates inspire any optimism that the development team have a clue.

What are they doing, that people want to leave?

I played some yesterday and 3 tables were doing fine. Today 3 or 4 tables were lagging.

Anyhow, I also wanted to figure out whether it's actually worth playing in games where I cannot make future notes in order to identify good tables. So I compared the rake to Stars and Party and noticed that RIO is charging the most at PLO 200 for example?

Can that be true or am I missing something? Like yeah, you get 51% rb but then you probably grind at tables with zero ev.

Glad to hear you're having a better experience. Could you elaborate and share examples of specific instances that should be faster/smoother?

Yes, we changed the maximum bet size for PLO in splashed pots due to community feedback. Based on the feedback we've received so far the majority of the players are happy with the new calculation.

We don't have any immediate plans to make changes to STP as far as rakeback goes. We'll continue to listen to the community and make changes to stp accordingly. I hope you took advantage of the extra traditional rakeback yesterday with 101% total rakeback and will do so again on Saturday. While I know you are not as big of a fan of splashes, we will also be splashing 101% rakeback on all tables today and Sunday.

I'm sorry you're not happy with my updates. After our public beta launch, our developers' primary focus was on stability, performance, and fixing our major bugs. While we had a group of devs working on resizable tables, we are now able to allocate more resources on this task. I can assure you we know the importance of being able to resize tables and our team is working hard on getting this feature implemented as soon as possible.

Where are you located? I see the time of your post came in at 4 am in Europe (CEST).

Once the promotion started yesterday, our NL traffic was 50+ throughout the afternoon and 100+ throughout the evening/night.

It would be helpful to post a comment in our #game-starters channel in our Discord server the next time you run into this problem.

Your answer explains it, I am in PST on the west coast of Canada. Woke up 5am this morning and theres 60+ players in the NL20 pool so makes sense considering the size of the site right now.

As far as rake goes, we estimate that our effective rake numbers are much lower than Stars and Party. Phil discussed our decision on our rake structure in depth in his Rake and Rewards post. Instead of trying to repeat what Phil said in his post less eloquently, I'd ask that you please read his article for a deeper explanation.

Downloaded the update and keep getting a "unable to connect to server" message when I try to login.

Not sure if I gave up on this site long ago or am officially giving up now but I've lost all hope anyways. . .

I have played a few evening (UTC+2) sessions PLO this week. Playability is good enough for me but one serious problem. During every session all tables close suddenly and have to login again to the client. The client itself doesn't die. When you relogin and queue to tables you don't end up to same tables.

This of course can happend during a hand in progress. I haven't figured out what happens to the money in the pot. Does table close for all opponents, how the pot has been shared???

As far as the tables closing during hands, the table only closes for one player (you) and the hand continues. Please write our support team (support@runitonce.eu) and explain what happened during your session. Please include as many details as possible on the hand(s) that were affected, such as: the time the hand took place, stakes, hole cards, action, etc. Our support team will review and award funds accordingly.
