Hi All,
This is to let you know that we will be releasing an updated version of our poker software tomorrow, November 19th, at 03:10 CET (21:10 ET on November 18th). This will require bringing our systems offline for a maintenance period starting at 03:10 CET. We will be offline for some hours before bringing our systems back online. You will find limited multi-table tournaments available for registration in the hours leading up to this maintenance period. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our players.
The software update will include the following items:
• Performance improvement on Poker No Download (Java) software.
• Resolution of performance issues for players playing multiple tournaments on the MAC software.
• Fix for coloured notes not saving on the poker download software.
• Fix on a display issue on hole cards at the end of a hand for some languages.
• Change to the chat window mode set by the player on login which was being reset to default on the Mac software when switching between tabs on the table.
• Fix for bug on Heads Up single table tourneys when a rematch is accepted.
• Fix for bug when an add-on request is made but no chips are issued and no funds are taken.
• Some other bug fixes.
Please also note that after tomorrow’s downtime there will be a small change to the naming convention of our multi-table tournaments:
• Current “Speed” tournaments (5 minute blinds) will be renamed as “Turbo”
• Current “Turbo” tournaments (3 minute blinds) will be renamed as “Hyper Turbo”
• Current “Hyper Turbo” tournaments (3 minute blinds + short stack) will continue to be named “Hyper Turbo” but will carry a 3,000 starting stack unless otherwise stated.
In short, we are removing the “Speed” game play type name and this will be reflected in the filters.
Thanks
Party_Rep Chris
PS – Since my last post, there have been more questions about what we’re doing to resolve the software lag issue. Please note that we are continuing to actively investigate this, but require more specifics from players who are being affected. If this is you, please assist us by sending the following files to our Customer Services department via
info@partypoker.com
All files are located at C:\Programs\PartyGaming\PartyPoker
• OCLCards_FilterState.txt
• <playername>_pst_flts.txt
• usertab1.txt
• usertab2.txt
It would also be beneficial if you could provide us with…
1. Your screen/account name.
2. The date and time the last issue occurred.
3. The number of tables and tournament lobbies which were open / being played at the time.
4. The time elapsed since you started playing (session time).
5. Details of any third party tools you were using at the time.
6. What other programs you were running at this time.
We’ll use this information to test our software in a similar setting to try and reproduce the issues – which will then allow us to diagnose and correct them.
