Unless this new guy from Stars that Party supposedly hired fires the current software team and hires a team that has a clue, they will never release a working software

Honestly because there is the habit for me playing there. Can't explain it but for like 3 years Party was my favourite site and for some ******ed reason I like to play there (maybe I am just really used to the software which isn't honestly bad). There is no financial benefits for playing on Party even on Pokerstars my hourly is higher (due to better software that is way faster, less rake, zoom etc.)

So honestly I hope that they will screw it so badly that I will finally be forced to move on and won't have to touch the site again. Cause for me playing on Party is almost like addictive habit, I can't help myself (also probably because I never had there a swing like on P*, FTP where I would be like 100 BI below EV or so), I know it is variance but unconsciously I feel safer playing on Party at least on emotional level cause never got really crushed there).

Probably there is more wishing for the miracle and giving Party the last chance and we all know it is illogical but damn I miss the old Party

BTW there isn't any "new software". It will be the old software tweaked, added some social option etc. According to my affiliate it is already in beta and there are testers that already use it. Guess we need to wait to see however It won't get completely redesigned.

When you uninstall the party software and delete the party folder. Then install again, you are in the fishpool again for 1 days, even with the same acount.

I'm making more money live than online, so I have rarely played at Party too.

Now that the Head of Online Poker will be replaced by a PokerStars executive, hopefully the many horrible decisions will be reversed, and eventually entice rake-paying regs like us again someday.

What is your province and I am assuming it is in Canada?

Yes, I am back playing live poker, at least for the past 3 months/next 2 months. I still visit this thread in the 3-4% I can get back on Party once I get back to Asia, but really, the hopes are not very high... I think Stars/Tilt will be getting most of my online action.

Ontario, there are many better places for full-time pros like you to play, but it's pretty good for non-pros who can play up to a dozen casino tournaments in the Toronto area every week with rake only 4%-10%. Four electronic poker rooms with 19 tables have opened up so those have many of the advantages of PartyPoker without the player segregation, server disconnections, bugs, bots, collusion rings, etc. Ontario only has one series for pros, the annual Fallsview Poker Classic, with > 500 players in the $1K-$5K events.

"Danske Spil" (a skin on the bwin.party-network) has just confirmed that the new software is postponed until sometime 2014.

Google translate of the statement from Danske Spil on a Danish pokernews-site:

I see... Thx for the info! For my part, I usually play Dawson City which has been my home for 13 years, Vancouver, Vegas, Calgary, Edmonton. But I will be spending the next few years in Asia, so will split my time in between online and live... But definitely not on Party!

so there running a year behind with their expected release date of their New software. This just about sums up just how poorly Party Poker is run. I'd be embarrassed to work for them and would quit if I did. The only other possible explanation for such a big dealy is because they had to make some cut backs on staff and halt spending on further development untill they start making a decent profit again. So for all you people deperately holding on for their so called New Software. I wouldnt hold your breath if I was you.

Is this the only source of announcement of an alleged delay?

I would have thought the PP Rep would have told us at least a couple of days ago if it was true.
