Dear Party Rep

Do you know if in new software ; the fisrt choice of game is still FIXED LIMIT ?
if not it is the dead of Limit game on Partypoker for sure ; because many recreationnal players just play the first choice of game, table and don"t know about if they play NL or L or PL.

I saw dead Ongame Limit traffic in 2008 when they updated software and NL became 1st choice of game ; and one year later was the same on Ipoker.
You can see traffic on Ipoker and Ongame it is really dead and it is the 3rd choice of game .
Also on Pokerstars ; the 1st choice of game is Fixed Limit it is why they have so much tables available.

Limit game is also good for rooms because they rake a lot and i think recreationnal players like this game becuse thay go broke less quick and it is action game

Thanks

any PokerFests planned for the future? thought they would be pushing something like this after the increased traffic and upping the guarantees in January.

last one was April - May 2012 and seemed popular

Hi all,

In regards to the above player and also to Zipfelmuetze, we have investigated these players and they are set to be warned as per our policy.

Thanks for highlighting these players and apologies for the delay in the response.

Thanks,

The only solutions Party tech support has offered is to do a fresh install of the Party client software and to make sure my Adobe Flash/Active X is up to date. Both of these had no effect. As a further control, to check if it was a corrupt install of Party that was not being fixed by a reinstall (possibly due to some residual configuration files that I could not find and delete) I installed the WPT.com client (another skin on the same network and also the identical software).
It worked perfectly the first 3-4 times I loaded up the client. Now this morning, after loading it up, I see I'm already having the same problem with missing tables that I was having with the Party install. Also before installing WPT for the first time I tried uninstalling the Party client, deleting the left over Program files, then running a disc cleaner and registry cleaner before reinstalling fresh. So somehow it is my computer, consistently not working with 2 identical versions of this software, but I have no clue what could cause this kind of problem.

I was hoping Party tech support would be very knowledgeable about how the Party client software takes information from the server and relays it as table information in the lobby on my screen. Then we could trouble shoot wrt to what programs/setting/errors on my computer could be interfering with this process. Unfortunately it takes min 5 hrs if not 12-24 hours for every response from support. Each time getting almost nowhere because they seem to not bother reading my e-mails (key word search followed by cookie cutter canned response).

Anybody here with more computer/software knowledge have any idea what could be going on here?
Has anybody else experienced this kind of issue? If I didn't know people already playing on this network and/or double check the web browser instant play lobby, I would have just assumed the client was working properly and there simply wasn't a large player pool on the network.

Hi ebffs,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are looking into this and will get back to you once we have investigated this further.

Thanks

I had the same exact problem. I haven't played on Party in years and just wanted to check what the games looked after the Bwin merge and the number of tables looked a bit strange after comparing them to pokerscout numbers. Tried uninstalling but that didn't work, but did notice that the lobby settings weren't reset so went through the registry to find anything Party related. And after deleting the whole [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PartyGaming] dir from there it started working properly again without reinstalling. I've got Windows XP so I don't know if the settings are stored differently in different Windows versions.

So I thought it was just some weird bug with some years old Party software that I still had on my computer and updating to the new one. But I guess it's something else, and can't really tell exactly what registry setting caused this, but just something you could try.

The amount of collusion that goes on in the Party sngs is gross. Every week or two I catch a new team.
Lately it has been a full team of 4 players sitting all at once in $54 games. I've caught 4 of these teams so far (16 accounts). Is party just letting them change their SN when I report them? Or do these people really have that many ID documents, and party is that bad at being able to stop them?

Warning to all players: Party has told me multiple times THEY WILL NEVER REFUND PLAYERS FROM A COLLUSION. This is disgusting.

+1. the tournaments seem to "jump around", you select one and then a few seconds later a different tournament gets highlighted

Thanks! Amazing after several days and easily 10+ emails each way with Party support their "tech"guys did not think of this.

I used a registry cleaner (ccleaner) and assumed that would remove left over registry files from uninstalled software, but I never thought to check myself for left over files.

I just want to add also the trouble shooting advice I got, sometimes after waiting over 24hr and after an "escalation" to the appropriate department was stuff like

(A) Re-install the client
(B)Make sure your Flash player is updated (but they didn't fix their canned copy paste so they told me to "update" to a 10.5xx version when it's already in the 11.xxx)
(C) run a tracet scan
(D) run a virus scan
(E) use wired internet

All abc cookie cutter solutions. I often wonder if the people trying to "help" me even bothered to carefully read my detailed description of the problem.
[PartyPoker] Ex-Official thread Quote
01-30-2013 , 09:20 AM
They don't because the most of problems are caused by dumb users in the first place. That's why they try some general advices first and if it doesn't work, they read your emails properly.

I have also reported those cheaters 3-4 times. Party VIP Support is really nice and understanding but it seems that the people who have the power to do something about it really don't care. I was promised my buy-in back on one occasion...didn't happen.

Further to the comments on here regarding the appalling customer support I attach an email chain showing my interaction with Party support regarding the errors the the HH files you receive if you request them from the Preferences tab in within the client - I do this to get the HH for hands played on my mobile device as HH auto save when on my laptop. Even after reviews by 3 customer support staff and 2 "specialist" staff they can't see a problem with having the flop dealt 3 times (firstly with 3 cards then 1 and 1). Note that some hands within the HH file do correctly identify holdem poker as being played with a flop, river then turn so I don't understand how any HH file is created with some hands showing flop/turn/river and others flop/flop/flop

[Apoligies for the brash nature of some of my responses to PP. As you can infer from the CAPS replies I am pretty fed up with spending so much time trying to get simple HH and getting idiotic responses like this]

To read the email chain you may want to start at the end

I've often found the appallingness of customer support to strongly correlate with the appallingness of the customer in question. You sent 3 mails to them, so you had 3 chances of politely informing them that there's something wrong, and pointing them to what's actually wrong as you were bright enough to figure it out. Seems that you failed in both your missions, not once but 3 times. Maybe you get better at this with age.

I've managed to fix the problem with missing tables on my own (actually dealing with customer service cost me more time than it saved me).

Latest problem is my client crashes easily 5-6x/day. (Maybe once per 1-2hr on average). I'm running a high performance laptop only 5 months old (quad core - 8 thread i7 with turbo booster and 8gb ram).

Luckily I've been able to boot back up and resume hands before I'm timed out, but it's only a matter of time before this costs me 200bb+

Sigh

Ya his post was a pretty bad example because he's being rude and blasting them in caps locks. But the fact remains the customer services is pretty bad.

Unfortunately this is not the first time I have had this conversation with support. On at least two occasions in the past 2 weeks I have explained this exact issue to them so that customer service themselves would pull the HH for me as theirs often comes with fewer errors than the ones requested through client preferences. Apparently they don't seem to keep notes on customer correspondence. I think after repeating the same email over and over again and getting the same copy and paste response each time I have every reason to "blast them in caps" in an effort to get them to actually read my email. Guess even that did not work. All I was asking for was for them to actually look at a hand history carefully.

***Auto re-buy and add-on buttons for tourneys***

How this has not been done already is baffling.

Every third tourney I miss re-buying when I bust because I'm playing too many tables. And those that I make, I miss the add-on for the same reason.

It's seriously tilting, especially how the new sched has so many rebuys.
