If you search this thread for connection problems you'll find several examples of people experiencing similar issues.

About five minutes ago, my Internet went down for about 20 seconds. To say that Party's software did not handle the situation elegantly is an understatement.

Once my connection was back, Party's "Establishing Connection" message disappeared and I was able to choose to sit-back in and was even able to observe chat and others play in real-time. However, whenever there was a new hand I was auto sat-out and did not receive cards.

Now, I did not want to lose my place and the tables because there were waiting lists and I had just paid the blinds. So, the only way I could retain my seats and restart the software (the only solution I know to this irritating problem) was to kill Party Poker in Window's task manager in order to relaunch it and be taken back to my tables.

If you kill Party Poker by using the Windows task manager you can relaunch Party without losing your seat. It is unfortunate to be forced to use such a brute force work-around, but have no choice due to the instability of Party's client.

yep i have been doing this too but for a different reason

after some update 2-3 months ago when ever i got disconnected party software would add some random number after the table name/details etc on the title bar causing betpot scroll to stop working. since the number would not go away restarting party hand grabber or the betpot script did not help. only killing party and restarting it helps if you dont want to lose any tables

edit: obv this is a 3rd party software problem but i cant see why party has to add that number there. maybe it shows which server we are using or something. i got numbers between 15 and 30 normally

I did search, and I did not find this specific problem mentioned. I think it is a new problem introduced in the last upgrade. But it's a long thread and I may have missed something.

Thanks for your task manager suggestion - I'll do that next time.

However this has happened to me twice out of four tournaments since the last upgrade, and I find it intolerable, so I have decided to stop playing on Party until there is some indication that the problem has been fixed.

1) This issue has been around for a while, though it does seem more widespread now. Here is just one mention of its existence :
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...=#post27191711

2) The Task Manager method is only necessary if you're playing cash games and do not wish to lose your seats. For tournaments you can close and relaunch the software normally and it should correct the issue, at least temporarily.

3) Your decision is very understandable. Party loses customers due to these issues. In order to increase revenue they should fix these problems instead of attempting to increase the rake cap.

I will send you the details once I have the chance to retrieve some tournament hand histories where I was not able to recover from apparently brief Internet disconnections without relaunching the Party Poker software.

In the meantime, it is very easy to duplicate the problem as it occurs during cash games and I have created screen-capture videos of it. All I had to do was sit-in, then disconnect my network cable long enough to miss a hand. After reconnecting the cable, I was able to observe live-action and choose to be dealt back-in, but at the start of the next hand I was instantly dealt out again.

When I opened a different table, the same problem persisted. I would choose to sit-in, but would be dealt out.

I experience this issue, too. It always happens after my internet connection broke down and I established a new connection without closing the party client.

I sent PM to you.

I'm looking to cash out from Party for the first time. Currently located in Canada. What do people suggest as the best way to cash out to minimize fees (including conversion fees)? Some options are Moneybookers, Electronic Transfer, Wire, Check delivered, goplay Mastercard... (I will be cashing out in the $3k to $5k range now and likely that same ballpark in the future).
Thanks!

I am having the "sit out" issue all day today. Its absolutely tilting as **** when you are playing HU. I already took my entire roll off of party and switched to other better run sites but thought i'd leave my RB payment there for HU action. Well, since these monkeys cant get a ****in thing right, im totally gone now.

you guys suck.

Try to cash out in the same currency of your PartyPoker account, e.g., U$ to your Moneybookers or bank U$ account. I lose on the conversion everytime I withdraw some U$ to my C$ GoPlay MasterCard.

have party, MB and obv your home bank account in CAD so you dont pay any fees (you pay like 1.80 euros to withdraw from MB if you are not vip there)

thats what i do except i use euros in all my accounts. i pay 0 to get money to my home bank account

couple of days ago I was on the flop in a hand when my table just disappeared. i was ~9-tabling and all my other tables were working fine before and after this incident.

I sent party an email. here is their awesome reply not even wanting to know what happened

Quote:
I have checked with our technical team and they have assured me that this was not an issue at our end. However since you are a valuable player I have added 5 USD in your account as a good will gesture. Please do not consider this as a refund as the issue was not on our side and in such cases there are no grounds for refunds. I hope for your understanding regarding this matter.
I had AA in the hand and I had opened preflop to $4 (at 100nl). i did not have a chance to act on the flop and when i requested the HH for that hand I had openfolded on the flop so I guess partys software had just closed my table and kicked me out since "I" did not check the flop after timing out or anything

+$1 profit for the hand though! I should be happy now, right?

Have tournament tickets been removed from the party store? I saw mention of them earlier in the thread but can't seem them in the store...why would you remove something that guarantees additional play on your site?

...

Seriously, can't you do something to enforce the no rakeback rule? It's ruined the SNGs and has already made certain times of day completely unplayable.

MsC0inflip already tried to explain the problem here:

Basicly, every coinflip for the stack (ICM aside) means -$6 for me and +$1 for him (for $109+).

I am waiting more than a week already to get any kind of a response after submiting ID to enable the cashout.
24 hours ago I contacted them via live support where they said they indeed received the ID but it was not processed yet, and promised to "escalate" it, whatever that means. Still nothing.

Whats up?
