Update. Check request from 5/22. I was asked Friday to cancel my check request and break it up so the could send it via money gram. I did and it was process that day and apparently has been sent and is available today. So 5/22 request to 6/27 sent. Will pickup tomorrow I guess. Has anybody else ran into money gram payouts?

Will my withdrawal work if I try to have it sent straight to my coinbase wallet? Or do I need a different wallet?

No, you have to send it to blockchain first, then from blockchain to coinbase. Otherwise, coinbase will see the money came from a gambling site and shut down your account. If you wanna make a blockchain wallet, just search "blockchain wallet" on any search engine and the first result will probably be the site you're looking for.

I personally have not, but I did make a check request on 5/30 (it's still pending) so I'm kind of curious about this since it looks like there's a good chance I may receive my withdrawal by moneygram. Did everything go smoothly for you? And did they ask you any questions about where the money was coming from?

And what exactly do you mean by "cancel the check request and break it up"? Do you mean that the withdrawal was just converted to a moneygram withdrawal by carbon with your consent? Or you had to physically go in and cancel your withdrawal and hope that they send you your money instead of just tricking you into cancelling a withdrawal? I would think this is kind of shady if they're emailing you asking to completely cancel a withdrawal like this since they could just not pay you then and leave the withdrawal cancelled.

BC withdrawal requested on 6/14. Processed and hit wallet on 6/27. Sent to coinbase and funds were available about 30 miminutes later

My 1st cashout request this year in Jan. was for a check. Was also asked to cancel and request a money gram. Did so and received 2-3 days later. No problems encountered. Post #10045.

nothing idiotic about it. have to protect your funds from being discovered as gambling funds by banks and institutions. it's very simple once you setup.

also if you plan on keeping bitcoins NEVER keep your coins on a website, just get electrum it's really not hard and it's 2 more clicks for your safety. remember to backup your 12 word pin if your computer dies

on electrum you control your private keys. While on an exchange the site controls it. Mt. Gox was a big exchange that collapsed and there have been others. It is just an unnecessary risk to keep bitcoin on one long term.

Electrum is very easy and is what i use to store mine.
