Just keep it vague but plausible imo. Another thing you can say is that you do consulting and you have some foreign clients. It's plausible, non-specific, makes sense for receiving a personal type check, and everyone has some area that they can claim expertise in.

I'm no expert at this, just my 2 cents.
Thanks for the input, especially about answering any questions. That should be very helpful.

No real player would ever try to defend 3 week BTC payouts.
I don't work for Carbon and have no need to "defend" 3 week bitcoin payments but I will gladly take them. Wouldn't even mind if they took a tad bit longer

What is your definition of a real player?

Just a few weeks ago I had a whale mention at the tables that somebody said the site was going down and asked if anyone had received a withdrawal recently. Making these claims w/o any real knowledge of the situation potentially hurts the economy and serves nothing but your own need to whine to someone.

OK Green, why didn't you ask this poster to work on comprehension? I have stated "Cash Flow" - never have I said they were on the verge of collapse. They are either greedy or having cash flow issues. And for anyone who doesn't have "doubts about the site" - they are living in a fantasy world. This site and many others are not regulated.....by anyone that counts....so we are all gambling.

8/18 - Requested $500 via bitcoin.

And, let's keep it civil guys. Arguing on the internet doesn't have to be ridiculous and immature.

I thought that was the basic rule of Internet forums?

Greedy, cash flow issues, verge of collapse, it's all the same. Oh, left out sky is falling. See, we've been hearing this since before I joined Carbon in April, 2011. So, please forgive those of us who are tired of hearing the same old song. As I posted earlier, 21 days from request to funds available w/o strings in bank account is a blessing compared to where this network was when I joined it. Three months for a check. Mercy! Stated time frame was 6-8 weeks. Then gradually improved to 4-6 weeks stated time frame. Then, the current owners took over and I actually got a check in 8 days from request to in hand. Sadly, that was an anomaly. But, through it all, some posters have been singing the demise of Merge without fail, secondary to their slow pay outs. Even though 99% of their customers have been paid. I'm sure somewhere there is a 1% pool of folks, who, for one reason or another, hasn't been paid. But, it isn't because of greed, cash flow issues, verge of collapse, or the sky is falling. They have a history of slow-paying. But, they pay. And always have. That's very important. So, unless you have a new song, give it a break. This is Merge. And they gonna Merge. Nothing new. Many of us have adapted. Three week cash outs. Have mercy! Who knows? They might even improve. Not gonna hold my breath. But, sure ain't singin that same old tired refrain you are. Been hearing it for 5 years.

Since you are so familiar with Merge, can you tell us what has improved there in the past five years? I was actually there when Carbon became their first white label skin and they sold the original skin's website.

And to tell others to stop when they "don't have a new song", well make sure to look in the mirror also. Because you play the same song all the time.

So please, give me some facts on what Merge has improved.

The only thing on Merge that has improved for me in 5 years, is the ability to cash out and have funds in my bank account within 3 weeks. Never had a check bounce, but, that's not even an issue now. I should add that I researched sites before signing up, and the software was the deciding factor.

Cashout speeds. I remember when it took 2-3 months to receive a cashout. Now I can receive a cashout in 2-3 weeks via bitcoin.

Please don't tell me I'm defending merge. I'm answering a question which you asked. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

My first two BTC withdrawals when they first offered it took 3 days each for the max. My last two have taken 14 and 19 days each. I'm getting paid but paying $200 or $250 fees and having to wait almost 3 weeks nowadays is a long time.

Isn't this proof that the funds aren't segregated or that they are willfully withholding money (slow paying)? I could buy some excuses when it came to checks needing to be created through third parties, but I can't think of any reason bitcoin would take weeks if funds are segregated.

Long time lurker first time poster... max check requested 6/19, no update since. I think the quoted timeframe at the time was 4-6 weeks. I've always been paid eventually so I'm not panicking (sometime last year it was like 3 months), but it's not ideal. I'm also on Sportsbook, not sure if that matters... do all the skins use the same general accounts/processors? Btw, are player pools merged between skins, I don't think I've ever known this for sure.

Not sure if Sportsbook has it's own cashier or if they also use Jazette. The player pools are merged.

In the same boat as many of you. Started playing there again a few months ago because I heard cashout speeds improved. Was very impressed with the first 2 arriving in a few days, and now this one is pending for weeks. The shills can bitch and moan all they want, but 3 weeks for a BITCOIN cashout is completely unacceptable. Won't be playing another hand there and will immediately cashout the rest when I get this one. GG Merge

I requested a bitcoin for $600 sometime in mid-July and received in early August (August 3rd).

I requested a bank wire for $200 about 2 weeks ago, got a message asking if i'd accept moneygram, accepted the offer, and received the money gram early this week.

In the past year, I've cashed out about 15k from Carbon through checks, bitcoin, moneygram. Payout times have varied, but I've always managed to get paid.

I have a lot of pending futures sports bets on carbon and will likely have a sizeable chunk of money on the site pretty soon. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little concerned, but we should all take comfort in the fact that many players on here have received a lot of money in the past year (I think one poster said he cashed out about 100k), and nobody has been stiffed thus far.

With that said, all offshore sportsbooks and poker sites are largely unregulated businesses so be careful about how much money you have on there. It's not cash in the bank until it hits your bank account.

The full tilt comparisons are off base. Full Tilt and Pokerstars were literally crediting people's accounts with cash and then not collecting the money at all. Many people became aware of this and actually scammed the system for a lot of money. Carbon isn't doing that. On top of that, Carbon has a sportsbook, and sportsbooks are literally a gold mine. But again, there is of course risk and I can't speak to the finances of Carbon, so who really knows.

The slowpaying is annoying but it makes perfect business sense from their prospective. I'm sure a lot of people (including me several times in the past) cash out some money, cancel the pending cash out and then end up losing it in carbon casino. Is that shady and unethical on Cabron's part? Perhaps. But it's not necessarily a sign that they don't have the money to pay out.
