My theory for a while now is that the network didn't want to become too big or known because then they would be under much greater scrutiny and traffic which for whatever reason they couldn't handle (lack of resources, staff, legal representation, licensing, ability to process transactions, who knows??). They decided to quietly milk the poker side of things as it died off, while winding down promotions and tournaments. They have taken many additional actions to reduce their player pool including banning winners, table restricting players semi-randomly, I believe they restricted new US accounts for a time etc. They also must not advertise much as they have way fewer players than BOL or ACR or Ignition despite comparable software. It's pretty suspicious too that they have this same cast of Euro cash game regs who never change stakes and grind most days for 5 years now but that's another topic.

Most those euros have left for quite a while now, talking like 2 months. Now there is like absolutely no traffic. Games are way better when they do run so that is a positive. There bound to start cutting guarantees again soon the traffic is falling off a cliff.

Is there any ring game traffic left on this network? How many tables typically run for various stakes of NL 6-max?

What is the definition of of any ring game traffic? At extreme peaks would say there can be 6-8 games from 50nl-500nl. I would also say average is closer to 5. Generally the 500 gets peak of 2 games, sometimes 100-200nl can get 3, but rare these days. Hope that clarifies things.

What a shame. Merge used to be poppin. Maybe I'll deposit a few buyins for some extra table selection. Thanks man

Does anyone know why Carbon Poker doesn't accept new players... I'm assuming all new players because the international players are almost completely gone from cash games. There's only one guy from Poland left as far as I can tell. I have seen more US players recently but I'm assuming they are older accounts that started playing again due to the lock downs.
I contact Carbon and they always respond very timely but vaguely with "we are not accepting US players at this time. When management decides, you'll see the join now button appear on the website" or something of that nature.
New updates to the software are few but frankly I love the software as it is.
My main gripe besides lack of players is the rake on Carbon. I did a personal breakdown using my PT4 stats between sites where I divided rake attributed by number of hands at each level (50NL/25NL...etc) and found Carbon to be almost 2 1/2 times higher than ACR at the 50NL level and just less than double at 25NL.
I would love to see Carbon Poker back on top of the US market and reduce the rake to align with other US sites because I think the software is solid and I'm used to it.
Long winded I know but does anyone have any solid information on why they're let the site die on the vine?
Thanks, Jim

The worst run site with the best software. They do respond quickly to inquiries, but I can't remember the last time I got an actually satisfactory response to anything. Also noticed different names for different categories when you e-mail support now is like one guy (who is a polite jerk honestly lol). People have been asking for years "Why?" Never heard anything other than speculation. Hopefully in some future where online poker is more universally legal again, they see reward outweighs risk and actually start to give a damn again.

I won a ticket to the $162 with the intention to max late reg, but they automatically entered me in the tournament like 20 minutes after I won the ticket...

I wouldn't have played the satellite if I couldn't control when I entered the tournament... ****ing joke

when you enter there is a drop down box, you need to use that to choose buying in with a ticket

Yeah they auto-reg'd me 30 blinds deep, during the break after two hours. I wouldn't have played the satellite if I couldn't max late reg.

Their response was that their website says that they can do this.

The weirdest part to me was that I wasn't registered immediately after the satellite ended. It was like 20-30 minutes after it completed

I wonder what's still in it for the operators. They can't be making much money at all.

Def not a bad time to leave minimum on the site. Traffic has came to a complete halt and tourneys overlaying.

im sure they are completely fine with no poker and people just using their casino and sportsbook, since seems to have been their goal since 2015 or so and they have done a good job at it

Yep. Can't get through to the sportsbook either. Trusting bets will be graded correctly when they come back up.
