Has anyone noticed a severe decrease in the number of players on Carbon lately?

I logged on between 1800-2200 hrs on a Friday to find 2 tables going of full ring.02/.04.... at those two tables, 4 of us were playing both tables. That gives us a whopping 14 players playing full ring. I mean, it's nice getting to know the other players, but its almost like going to a live casino at this point.

Ok whats the email for Merge then? Not Carbon, not sportsbook. why would one skin encourage me to play on another skin? Ive obv already asked both of them and they gave me the stock answer that I wouldnt be able to login to the other site while logged in to their site. Thats not true and didnt answer my question at all so thats why I wanted clarification.

I was more or less asking Kahn (not you, but thanks for your concern) if he could look into it for me. Obviously he would rather you answer and ignore me, whatever.

You do realize that Jazette is the parent company and not the entity that would be be listed as doing the cheating right? Of course not, you're grenzen.

From the moment Jazette bought Merge it's been on a downhill course. Anyone who had joined Poker.com from it's inception knows what I mean. If you don't mind being treated like a piece of meat though, Jazette owned Merge is the place for you.

Cruz is correct, Jazette has a terrible rep and has had a terrible rep in the online gaming business for many many years.

The Cake Network was just as bad before Lock moved to it as they were after Lock moved to it and renamed it Revolution. Lock had promised to change things but they failed miserably. Around that same time PlayersOnly and SportsBook moved from Cake to the Merge Network. The media reported that they were 2 skins simply moving to Merge. But those reports weren't really accurate. What wasn't widely reported was that they had actually bought part of Merge and were essentially taking over Merge. That's about the time that the Merge CEO resigned.

PlayersOnly and SportsBook are both owned by Jazette; Sportsbook is considered Jazette's flagship. SportBook had a terrible reputation but they actually left Cake under very good terms. They certainly didn't leave Cake because they didn't like the way Cake (now Revolution) did business. When they moved to Merge is when all the crappy things aimed at players started.

Just before it was known that PlayersOnly and SportsBook were more than just skins Kahn wrote a post giving his opinion of Jazette. I've included the quote he was responding to to keep his reply in context:

Seriously, folks please READ these complaints and disputes before you do business with these companies... There are DOZENS and DOZENS of very valid complaints

http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sportsbook.com/news/

http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sports.com/news/

Every Skin on their network almost has a number of complaints like this:

The player requested a $20,000 bank wire on January 20th. Sports.com quoted a five to seven business day time-frame. The player has yet to receive his winnings.

A Superbook.com (SBR rating D-) player tells Sportsbook Review that he asked for an $1,800 withdrawal on July 10th, 2011, and a $650 withdrawal on July 20th, 2011. Neither of the players requests have been paid by the Sportsbook.com skin, Superbook.com.

AllStar (SBR rating D-) & Sports.com (SBR rating D-) allegedly confiscate $39,000 in winnings. A player writes to SBR that on September 21st, his accounts were closed after he won $35,000 on tennis parlays.

I don't have an email address for Merge, sorry. But it sounds like that's who you should be talking to.

If you only want an answer from one person, you should PM them.

I get what you're saying - you want an answer from someone who's done it and/or who is connected enough to possibly get an answer from the network for you; perhaps one of them will give you that answer at some point. But nothing beats an answer directly from the network - then if there's confusion down the road and they lock your accounts anyway, you can show them an email from Merge themselves telling you it's OK, rather than a post from an anonymous 2+2 poster.

Good luck to you either way.

You're right. I had in mind when they it generally became known that they weren't just skins and wrote that part wrong. They had actually moved to the network earlier.

I think that the Merge CEO resigning though probably marks when Jazette started calling the shots. That's something I don't think anyone outside the network can say for sure.

evidence Jazzette owns/operates Merge? i remember some1 who Skyped with one of the former Carbon reps said the former rep (Chris or Ryan i think) told him that was the case. is there anything confirming ownership tho?

I don't think that they totally own the network. They are part owners and CarbonRyan has stated that he felt that it was common knowledge that Jazette runs the network in the post you mentioned. It's really difficult to confirm owners for online poker sites. A lot of people put in a lot of time trying to find the real owners of UltimateBet and they never really succeeded until the DOJ released the info.

Yeah, the 18 table cap is very buggy. It'll go to 14-15 at random times.
