When some folks were capped in the past, they complained and some had cap raised from 2 tables to 4. But, you're already at 4. Actually, they do give a **** as far as protecting their recreational players. And, with new American sign-ups back in play, this apparently is a protective measure for the new recs.

It's still not gonna save them, they will just give their money to someone slightly worse.

Do rec players really care if they see the same reg names at different tables? Won't they lose more in rake by restricting reg tables than what they would gain with this rec-friendly move?

It isn't about fun players seeing the same names, it's because the best players win money from weakest players the fastest (fewest hands), meaning less rake is paid.

Some guy just called to ask me if I had any recommendations or suggestions and he was telling me about the reload bonus or something like that. I couldn't really understand him very well. Anyway it was super weird. They've never called me before.

Complaining rarely worked in the past for individual players. Affiliates who had scores of players, if they were willing to try, had better success rates in overturning and/or relaxing table restrictions, but even then, it was only a 60/40.

My advice would be to start more tables, play longer sessions with regs, etc and not get restricted in the first place. Unfortunately, going on a heater was a high probability event for table lock down

Some players had the restrictions removed without interference once their numbers reverted to the mean.

Odds are though that most of you are hosed and stuck at 4 tables now.


Generating rake isn't the end all be all of a poker site. Specially when said poker site is really a gambling site offering sports betting and online casino play. Both of which are an order of magnitude more profitable than poker rake.

Ironically, less rake can actually be considerably better for the bottom line.

RIP Merge. It's been a fun ride

I just got restricted as well, and I have been breaking even on Merge 4-6 tabling since I redeposited two months ago. Used to be a pretty solid winner and mass-tabled 2014-2015 and never was restricted back then. Sad!

Don't pretend you're done playing there. You're probably American and thus there are no better options. I think multitablers are now just going to be forced to multi-site at all times.

Ok so now I'm restricted to 4 tables at NL50 & NL100 but can open more at NL25 & NL10. WTF?

ignition has limited cash and sng, so this is isn`t unprecedented, but the 4 max mtts is mind boggling.. they will have to cut guarantees more and limit their schedule in order to not lose money on that, and thats just going to slowly continue to dwindle their schedule... Frustrating when the sites decide to hurt their biggest rake contributors to help fish in stead of coming up with better and more fun rewards programs..

My cap increased from 4 to 10. Had 18 before this, but 10 is plenty now that they don't have leader boards.
